I guess because they were inspired by the art of using car horns the way it is practised in Cairo. Edited by someone_else - June 16 2010 at 10:25 |

It's like a ****** Sunn O gig. When it comes to African culture, I am more for the idea of letting loose a pride of lions on the grass now and then instead of the whateveritispronounced thingy. Lions, that's the way forward. Btw. I am full of respect for the fallen children in Soweto slain by this satanic racism on this day back in 1976. Must their souls rest in peace. Maybe we should hire that one poet who is the greatest in the universe. Forgot what his name was, and don't even know what book it was from, but I remember loving the Guide's description of him. "When listening to his music, never has one felt such a sense of calmness and oneness with the world."

Nice, there's a radio station.
They're only $10 on Amazon, I'm tempted to buy one and stick my contact mike on it. I think I would come close to my goal of making the most obnoxious sound ever, but I can only play one at a time so I couldn't match ten thousand idiots deafening you at the stadium.

I thought that job was reserved for John Zorn and Mike Patton.

John Zorn and Mike Patton aren't even close to being the most annoying musicians I own. If I ever buy the vuvuzela, I will post the results on Youtube and you will be amazed by my subtle use of distortion and gain (i.e., setting it to 10).

Henry, why not start a website asking people to record themselves or others playing the vuvuzela? It might be interesting, even if it's not exactly what you're looking for.

They have a variation: kuduzela and it's not allowed in the stadium. I couldn't imagine its voice

Really don't mind if you sit this one out.

Haha, collaborative vuvuzela orchestra! It can be like this album, which was two separate improvisational performances overdubbed. They actually can be played as a real instrument, although the results are less than stellar.

the booboozella is 30 dB the same as a pneumatic road drill, just wait if they import the things they will be banned under H&S rules!
The Swiss have their own version, this will blow SA Spain and everyone else out of the stadium!
