I felt bad for Pete for hitting the wrong bass pedal during "Holloway Girl". You could tell he was so disgusted with himself.
Man, so glad the NA convention is back in Montreal and not Vegas. I have to say I was disappointed when the idea was tossed. A part of the world I care never to visit. E |

Heh, I quite like 'Most Toys' as well. although it doesn't really sound like a Marillion track, its still great fun. |

Aaah, that's the nature of a live performance. I'm sure Pete moved on pretty quickly. When the fellows I used to work with would hit a bum note or section, I would just consider it a "jazz" improv ! Pretty funny at times I can tell you.
I'm glad it's back here in MTL for obvious reasons, and yeah, Vegas would have been a drag. Pretty good alternate cities would have been NYC or Chicago though.

Yes, I quite like the entire album as well. Not as epic sounding as "Brave", "Sunlight", "Marbles" or "Happiness", but just a good collection of tracks, so it was certainly a nice addition to the Marillion catalogue.

I ordered mine a few nights ago; however, Matt Cohen told me on MOLF that they have to wait for a new batch of discs from the manufacturer. Looking forward to it, though. |

Well, at 18 I'm glad you are listening to this music, because not all people do these days. It's nice to see younger generations being interested. Save your money for the convention, because it will be a great experience for you. Marillion are a fine band to be a fan of, and I hope they continue for many years so you can continue to follow their development as musicians and artists. If you stick with music as a hobby, then your scope of interest in it should expand as you age, and you will probably be surprised where it leads you. Bach ? Berlioz ? Coltrane ? Dylan ? who knows.

wow you guys have been busy after a period of inactivity.
Real tears for Sale video now up to see, it popped up on the sidebar when watching last episode of ask the band.
Las Vegas sucks, much happier going to Montreal even though it's farther, Vancouver BC wound be nice for me.
Steve Hackett's orchestral stuff is good, but I prefer Bay of Kings.
Ready to but ticket for Montreal when it goes on sale, what's the tally on how many of Round Table members will be there?
Kenmar

I'll be there, Kenmar.
I SOO can't wait until Out Of Season! Seems like it's taking forever. I had the day off yesterday and watched the Snow De Cologne DVD. What a nice present that was from The WebUK. E |

Hi Kenmar ! I live in Montreal, so it's an easy one for me. I think we have a great city, and there are many things to see and do around town. It's a pretty safe place also, so most people will feel comfortable walking almost anywhere around town ( I guess I'm biased, but I really appreciate where we are and know how lucky us Quebecois are). Vancouver would be fun too though...maybe 2013 ? Ticket are expected on sale next week for L'Olympia from what I've heard.
Eric, I'll have to watch "Snow De Cologne"....I have it a once over when it came in last year, but I had sort of forgotten about it. Thanks for the reminder.

I think you'll like Montreal, Kenmar. The language barrier wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. I don't speak a lick of french, but (for the most part) the locals would make that switch if they saw you didn't speak the language. But there certainly is a charm to Montreal. Sorry, Steve, but I HATE your airport. Once you've flown in and out of Kansas City's airport, you'll see there's no airport that tops it in convenience. I'm definitely spoiled. Just be prepared to do a lot of walking once in Montreal's airport, Kenmar. I think next time I'll try to get into the downtown area a bit more. I got a little taste of it on Friday when we went to the meet and greet at Brutopia, but that was about it. Saturday I just hung out and recovered while my friends went to the John Lennon exhibit, and Sunday we were bussed out to a maple syrup farm called The Sugar Shack for an amazing brunch and a tour. I've been out of touch with the round table for a few weeks () but I thought I'd drop in with some fantastic quotes from Steve Hogarth:
'We tried having a manager and a major label. They ended up with all the money. The fans were the only people we could trust. And the only people who understand us and truly value us.' 'There's two kinds of people in this world - those who talk about stuff and people who do stuff, and our fans are the latter.' And also say that I've really started to enjoy the 3 Fish albums I picked up. Although its sad that he left Marillion, the two artists who we ended up with are still absolutely amazing! |
