Godfather, even when he N° 3 was sub par, the first two are so extremely good that pay for it all.

More in line with the poll choices (I think the Three Colours trilogy excellent, but it's a different kind of trilogy, not a serial, so wouldn't expect it on the list) would be Omen 1, 2, and 3 (there was a fourth made later for TV but wouldn't count that).  And I love the first three Planet of the Apes movies (but since there were five in the series I wouldn't include it as a trilogy).

The Lord of the Rings movies are so nostalgic I could cry.

The Evil Dead trilogy is pretty awesome IMO, especially once they started really mixing in the slapstick humor.  I suppose they'll get my vote.  They're probably not my favorite trilogy overall but I'll use this opportunity to maybe let a few people know about them. Tongue

I would vote for Pasolini's Trilogy of Life if it was on the list and if I actually liked it.

But they weren't released that long ago...

That gets my vote, too, by the way.  Modern masterpieces.

The Matrix trilogy is genius, though some parts are boredom.

The whole Star Wars saga is probably my favorite, but if I had to choose between the original and the prequel trilogy, due to nostalgic reasons I have to go with the prequel. I saw both Star Wars Episode I & III in the cinema the day they came out, I was blown-away.

LOTR for me but some interesting choices above, Godfather definitely worth mentioning and Kieslowski's colours, a rather unexpected choice Big smile

Godfather 1 and 2 are possibly my 2 favorite movies of all time, but the 3rd was so bad that it makes it difficult to choose that trilogy over those where all 3 are great
