A new game: Who is this?

I just invented a new game. You take a person which is famous in a certain area but not that famous that everyone knows him or her. Then you offer five different possibilities what he or she might be famous for. I will start with an example:

Who is Benito Garozzo?

1) Famous Italian motorcyclist; won the world cup five times (among other things)
2) Famous 19th century Italian actor in the commedia  del arte; his role was the harlequin
3) Famous Italian bridge player; won the Bermuda bowl ten times (among other things)
4) Italian 16th century poet, nicknamed "Il Dante secondo".
5) Italian tennis player in the 1930s; won Wimbledon once.

Please do not google; just guess and perhaps explain why you guessed that way.

Garozzo … have I read that name in a bridge column? Anyway, I pick the third option.

Friede, you don’t have to answer my stupid question since the answer already is in your post:
