indeed, our diversity may just save us from ourselves.. you think we have ethno-social issues, we make most of the world look ancient when it comes to multi-culturalism, seems to me

Something tells me she ain't gonna be too happy about the new gas mileage her Accord gets LOL

I can't vouch for the credibility of the New York Daily News and know nothing about Honda engineses.
After Amanda Poganys 96 Honda Accord was stolen three years ago, it was returned drag-race ready.Tongue
Yeah, that was my point - the picture shows a straight-4 vtec engine  - probably a 2ltr from a S2000.Wink

^^I'm an idiot, did not notice that VTEC.

In any case, Slarti, you are a lucky man that the towing company did not pimp out your truck while they had it, else the whole deal might have gone down much differently...
Can you tell me where we're headin'?
Lincoln County Road or Armageddon.

Come to think of it, that vehicle doesn't look pimped out at all.  I'm thinking whoever put that photo in the article was lazy.

Just another day, right by my house.  And why coppers don't take chances with people.

By ABBY SIMONS and TIM HARLOW, Star Tribune staff writers

Last update: May 1, 2010 - 3:21 PM

A tense and bloody drama that began early Saturday with the fatal shooting of a Maplewood police officer in St. Paul intensified when one suspect was killed hours later by a St. Paul police officer and culminated with a second suspect's surrender just after 1 p.m.

The day's grim events, which involved hundreds of law enforcement officers in a methodical manhunt that plunged residents of the neighborhood south and east of Lake Phalen into chaos, began just before 7 a.m., when the Maplewood officer was fatally shot near English Street and Arlington Avenue, on the east side of Lake Phalen just south of St. Paul's border with Maplewood.

The unidentified officer, who had responded to a report of a carjacking earlier in Maplewood, was sitting in his squad car when someone walked up to him and shot him just before 7 a.m., said St. Paul police spokesman Paul Schnell. He was rushed to Regions Hospital, and died either en route or just after arriving at the hospital, according to St. Paul Police Chief John Harrington.

This is why I described da cops as paranoid.  They head on out to a domestic disturbance call, and they are doing what they signed up for, willingly and even with altruistic intentions, and next thing you know there's a bullet through the neck if they ain't careful.

Sgt. Joe Bergeron, 49, married, with two young daughters.

Killed by a car thief today in St. Paul.  Just another reason why I RAGE about crime.  So while I sympathize with Slarti's experience, we all know and love the Slart here.  The officers did not, and this story is the reason that their method of response to Brian was not really inappropriate.

Yeah, this story is anecdotal, but it's not all that rare unfortunately.
