Hi Steve !  Well, our lovely city of Montreal is a slice of Europe in North America. Why don'y you come across the pond ? ( After Iceland's volcano calms down a bit though )

Kenmar, did you attend the last Montreal convention ?   If you can find me I'll keep a place in line at L'Olympia for you. The tall guy will be Eric, and the slightly less tall guy with grey hair will be me.

Montreal was an absolute blast. I'm a little disappointed that I'm not going to make it to Holland, but I don't feel cheated in the least. It'll be good to meet up with old friends again.

And Kenmar, wait until you meet Steve's wife. She's an absolute crack-up. You picked a good one, Steve.

I think this time I'm going to have a seat while waiting in line. I do wish they had seats inside on the floor.

I saw people camping out in the early afternoon, which is a bit much, if you ask me. It seemed like we got there about an hour and a half to two hours early and we were fine. Steve and Denise would high tail it to the balcony, but I'd head to the floor and had a great vantage point. You stand around and get to know people around you. It was an absolute blast. The people were so cool. There was even a cross dresser there. I became friends with this guy named Chris (from the Montreal area) and he told me about the cross dresser. Now THAT is "Interior Lulu"! LOL

Just got the OK from my wife to go to Montreal next April for my first Marillion weekend! An old friend and fellow Marillion freak from Wisconsin will be joining me for his first convention, too. Looking forward to a magical weekend of music and to meeting all of you!

Hey Steve

Lovely idea, but defeated on two fronts. First, I'm one of Gordon Brown's lowly paid civil servants, so couldn't afford, and second, I would probably have to be knocked out to tolerate a flight that long anyway!

Lovely thought, though.

Been a bit quiet on the Round Table lately. Anyway, here's the latest e-mail from the band:

NEW LIVE CDs OUT NOW!

Tumbling Down The Years Size Matters

'Tumbling Down The Years'
& 'Size Matters'

AVAILABLE TO ORDER NOW www.marillion.com

29 april 2010 - H Natural

Greetings. And what a fine spring week we've had! I have recovered from the flu of a lifetime and am back up to fighting fitness!

Lucky that the plague struck when it did and got itself out of the way before the 'Birthday Suit' gigs coming up in May. If you're interested in seeing me "making it up as I go along" on piano and voice, and experiencing my favourite tunes sung raw, then there are still tickets left for London (May 14 - my BIRTHDAY!!) and Sheffield. Liverpool Cavern is sold out.

Go to stevehogarth.com and leave a request on the guestbook!

There'll be a new live CD on sale too, "Natural Selection" - a compilation of my favourite moments from the "h Natural" shows over the past few years plus a special birthday t shirt. Marvellous.

See you soon, loves.
h

I'm still toying with the idea of getting the second volume of the official bootleg box set.

^I was thinking about getting that one as well, although I don't really think I'd listen to the live stuff enough to make buying the whole boxset worth it. The price is also a little out of my range right now, after getting the Out Of Season box.

I haven't taken the plunge for the 2nd bootleg box either.  I'm saving my money for a convention ticket. I'll try and get there a couple of hours before... that should give me a reasonable place in line. Like Eric said, Denise and I headed for the seats in the balcony  at the last one, and the sound and sight lines were pretty good up there. I wandered down onto the floor a couple of times, and the feeling was amazing there, but Denise is on 5'4" so would not be able to see very much. I'm tall enough not to have too much of a problem unless Eric gets in front of me...then I'm cooked because he's about 6'4" . Maybe next time I'll try to stay down in the pit ! ( Oh my aching back after about 3 hours...the perils of age )
Steve.

Good day Eric !  I haven't heard anything yet , and the site does not show anything . I tried our local TicketPro site and L'Olympia's as well-not posted yet. I'll keep looking and if I find anything I 'll let you know. Somehow I think you'll probably know before I do anyway .

I received the newsletter from Marillion and it says that the tickets goes on sale next week.

Yes !  The light shows for all three concerts were stunning.  From "Interior Lulu" I remember zoning in on Pete working the repeated bass motif through the last section of the song. Man, the guy was working hard, and he really pulled it off.
