I can't find their albums anywhere...

Their debut is available there, but Bath and Leaving Your Body Map are long out of print. Check out Amazon or Ebay if they have any, my copies are from Ebay. And of course you know that the new album is a free download?

Yeah, my copies are from eBay too. The debut is widely available, although Bath and LYBM are really hard to find, considering they're such amazing discs.

Yeah, I know it's a free download. I downloaded it and I loved it, that's why I want to listen to other MOTW albums. But I need to have a hard copy to fully enjoy it.

Is their debut any good?

Psychobells... is a very good album, a bit more streight forward metal than Bath and LYBM and the production could be better but definitely worth getting.

StrangerByTheMinute,

I had to get all my maudlin CDs off of eBay as well.  They are tough to find, yes, and they do tend to fetch a high price at online auctions, but usually there's at least one copy up for grabs on eBay or in an eBay store.

I would also recommend checking around www.discogs.com, because every so often, a copy of Bath/LYBM comes up for sale there as well.  I've never seen any copies on GEMM.

Or just wish really really really hard for them to be reissued (which probably won't do any good).

I prefer having hard copies of albums, too. But I'll download stuff if I can't get it anywhere else. That's why I am considering downloading some of PT's rare stuff from their website, and making my own CDs of it (like Futile, the Arriving Somewhere... concert, etc)

Still need to check out MOTW. I've heard a lot of praise about them. I'm interested in checking them out.

Love your signature line, BTW! LOL

Mine? 'I was born in 82, the year of The Final Cut; and Script For A Jester's Tear'! LOL

The debut is most definitely worth your money, although it took me the longest to appreciate.

Fantastic album BTW

it's a shame that fa****s like  Blink-182 get to sell 25 million[6][7][8] albums
and our beloved Maudlin of the Well can't be found in the stores.

^Yeah, exactly! It sucks that genuinely creative prog music gets ignored by the masses, and tripe sells by the bucketload.Angry

First Post!

Sorry to bring this one back from the dead, but I have some news that will probably be very exciting to you guys:

I've been in contact with Toby Driver of maudlin of the Well regarding a vinyl pressing "Part the Second". He is very interested in working with me on this release!  It will likely be a double vinyl in a gatefold jacket, two colors. It will be the first release on my new label, Antithetic Records.  Would anyone here be interested? Thanks for your feedback!

By the way, its so great to find a group of people who appreciate this band.  I know they may not have the largest fan base, but the music is phenomenal!

Also, my original email to Toby was asking about pressing all 4 of their albums, but unfortunately, the first three are still under the labels control, and they apparently will not release the rights to press them.  But, I can at least bring Part the Second to the masses!!

Are you planning a CD or vinyl release?

Sounds great!

Vinyl only.  I figured that everyone can burn a cd from the free files on their website.  No one can make a vinyl with their computer Wink

That sounds great! I do wish they'd reissue their second and third albums, though. They're very hard to find... and expensive!
