Cool here are some bands I haven't tried yet.  Thanks for the recommendations.  By the way,  Efrim Menuck from Godspeed You! Black Emperor has another great band called A Silver Mt. Zion which another awesome band.  Check them out and maybe they will help you get by until GY!BE decides to do something new.

You sir, need Explosions in the Sky  Their album 'The Earth is not a Cold Dead Place' is a masterpiece of the genre IMO. God is and Asteronaut are also a good recent discovery to me, a bit more accessible with more conventional song writing. And ISIS are fantastic if you want some heavy stuff. I'm fairly new to the genre (well, I always had some and always loved Sigur Ros, but recently its become my numver one genre) so I don't know any of the more obscure ones, but these keep me going.

^ A guitar solo in post-rock? You've got to be kidding! 

So finally I have the time I need and peace of mind, I'll be doing the Semiosis biography today.

Seems like a fair bit of stuff to put on my list of stuff to listen to.

I wasn't sure they could play Choirs live, there's so many layers and it sounds very intense vocally (although it Toby Driver... He can do anything ) did it manage to stay true to the sound of the album? Or be a different experience altogether?

^ I normally disregard any personal advertising on these boards, (we do have a section for self promotion: http://www.progarchives.com/forum/forum_topics.asp?FID=48 )but thanks for sharing your creations. I usually try to be modest when suggesting/recommending music, (if you happened to have seen my post above) but seriously, you fellas are some genuine and amazing composers. In my observations, super dynamic rhythms and melodies can be a bit abrasive to casual/hardly interested in music admirers, but i wouldn't change a thing on "Immeasurable".

Anyways, if you're a fan of "post" or "prog" rock, stick around. It's always nice to see more input on these forums.

Well, i'll try and salvage some info.  I truly appreciate the invite regarding joining the team, although i feel almost unworthy considering that i haven't submitted any reviews. (it's really kinda silly, i appreciate reading others reviews, but when it comes to myself, i'm so critical of my own writing that i never consider my own attempts "complete" enough to be worth submitting)
