Voted for a number of the above (philosophy, literature, cooking, both kinds of games, just to name a few), and voted other for cultural anthropology.

Quite a few of them - literature, poetry, drama, art (all of the categories mentioned), politics, music, archaeology/history, cookery. Voted 'other' for crafts.

Archaeology/History, Chemistry, Mathematics, Calendars (probably caused by my love/hate-relationship with time), to name a few.

Ah cooking...an art I so appreciate yet could never master! If I didn't live with my mother I would surely starve! I have much respect for people who love cooking for that very reason.

Yeah, tell me about it. It's great when Ma cooks from scratch 'cause you know you're not getting loads of weird additives and chunks of fat in your grub. Plus the fresher food is the better it tastes without a doubt.

Voted for a few of them. The most significant being geology (or rather geography) and music (making and listening).

Well:
Literature at first. Love to read historic novels and I'm writing one, I hope to end it in a couple of months. That's really my main interest right now.
Music, of course, Rock mainly but there's a lot of different expressions that I love. Not just listen but composition as well.
Video Games. I'm an addict, lucky that I have no time for my addiction, so I do play only in my free weekends (which there aren't that much) and in the lonely nights when I don't have nothing to do (and my computer works).
I voted Sociology as well, I'm a jounalist and spend two years doing articules and investigation about guatemalan society, an excellent and complex topic but great.
Like Rob said, cultural anthropology is another great topic, linked with sociology so... there you go... Nice poll man...
PD: I like to cook as well, but I have like 3 years of not doing it and would be a lie if I put it as a hoobie, is more like a wish... I want to retake it... but the other hoobies above don't let me have time to do it...

Several from the list including history, music(making), sports (10k -> marathons, aiming to do my first triathlon this year if I can avoid injuries!!). Used to love the Sega Megadrive (US Genesis), mainly RPGs.

Ahh...the lovely Megadrive. The Sega Dreamcast a few years later was my favourite machine of the 90's I think, solely because Sonic was the source of all videogaming enlightenment for me (and still is)

Archaeology/ History (Those Who Know History Are Doomed to Repeat It) Modern Art (Dali!!!) Music (Not just rock or prog rock) (most of my collection is prog but there are a few artists I have that won't ever make it here and/or shouldn't be here) Politics (progressive/liberal) Video Games (Please Specify) took a long break but am now rediscovering Myst and the others in the series I haven't played yet, MS Flight Simulator, Civilization IV (Art) Architecture (my career is in it) Cookery (all kinds of cuisines from around the world, eating and cooking) Other (Please Specify) (sex, as a personal pastime but also like to watch those shows where people with problems call in )

Baring in mind I'm a musician, I think Music is my only REAL interest. In close second, History is probably the most interesting of the rest. Then Philosophy.

Music is first for me, as besides listening to it I enjoy playing it and I'm getting into recording, mixing, etc. courtesy of a class I'm in. After music, I'd say literature and physics are the next most influential two.

Politics... either you love em or hate em. It's both for me.
