Yeah. Shadow Complex is simply phenominal. That game alone is worth getting a 360 for in my opinion, I don't care if it IS just downloadable. That's a game that goes above and beyond typical dlc. A masterpiece, for sure. I've heard a lot of good things about Borderlands, but haven't gotten round to playing it, yet. I hear that it's like Fallout 3, except more fun, lol. So that and Demon's Souls are the next two games I should check out. P.S. Your avatar makes me smile, Knight of Eld.

Its not like they aren't gonna stock up massively on one of the year's most anticipated games Ah, its times like these I miss my Xbox. I never did play the original, though. |

The Collector's Editions won't last, though. Plus, reserving a copy beforehand unlocks exclusive DLC. So pre-ordering is still worth it in my opinion. Anywho . . . if you haven't played even the first Mass Effect, I suggest you either pick it up for Windows or buy yourself a cheap Arcade version of the 360, 'cause these two games must not be passed up. They will go down in history as one of the best RPG series of all time, mark my words.

Oh, I didn't know about the DLC I've heard a lot of good things about it, and I'll definitely play it some day. I'll most likely get the PC version, as long as the specs aren't too high |

Worth noting, all the choices you make during the first game will affect the storyline in the second and third games. All you have to do is import your save file from the first game into the second one, and your story carries over. So definitely play the first one, then the second one, in that order.

I never though that my girlfriend will play it. Love it, yeah, as she's graphic designer and same as me she can enjoy esthetically perfect things, but play ? I'm pleased. Good game indeed. And what about this Machinarium image ? Pretty stunning, isn't it ? |

Stewart Copeland from Police, right ? Spyro soundtracks are his masterpiece, all three original ones. I can't even count how many times I've played these three classics. Truly great game, strong nostalgia feeling, memories... |

ME2 can wait. I've not even played ME yet.
I'm still plodding through Dragon Age: Origins. I'm a slow player, so I could be quite some time. |

Ripto's Rage is just a TADDD bit better the first one, on my opinion, though they are both really good. Never really reached the same level of greatness after that one, though. Good to reminisce, though.

Resurrection !!
Been cleaning up some old ones after finishing DA:O. So for that matter, Dragon Age: Origins -- 8/10. Very good, but a little too safe. Sticks with the fantasy holdovers complete with nativist elves and scandalous, drunken dwarves. It even has a very unimaginative church. It's not that the game is poorly executed, but it constantly comes to the cusp of breaking silly video game conventions but just can't bring itself to cross that line. Maybe next time, kids. Mirror's Edge -- 7/10. Combat is broken and the game is way, way, way too short. But it can still be a blast to sprint up a wall to escape the pigs or leap from building to building under fire. The system works pretty well, though the game is a tad linear and way, way way too easy. Prey -- 5/10. Walking on walls is cool. Portals are cool. Utter lack of any force behind your weapons is not cool. Convoluted mess of a story is not cool. Absolutely no consequence to death -- definitely not cool. Still, it was entertaining for the most part. Thankfully, it doesn't overstay its welcome. Jade Empire -- 7/10. Setting is neat, combat is fun. Unfortunately, characters are flat and the story is pretty average. Too easy; played on Grand Master mode only and died only twice (got pj0wntd by the Mirabelle and failed to conserve enough focus for the elephant demon in the arena gold round gauntlet thing). |

Just installed Linux, so I'm somehow limited now. However, I'll try to get used to it. I suppose this game has native support for Linx. cs_militia, I should get used to it. There's one funny story with cs connected. I've decided to go to play on some server online with real people instead of bots. However, when I get here, I died before I could do something over and over again. It was something like Deaths 20, frags 4-8. They're too good for me. And also it's sometimes full of cheaters. As soon as he see me, easily on 100 meters, he kills me, headshot from uzi. Really possible. And not only me, everybody he sees. Why is somebody doing this, I can't understand it, there's no joy in it. I found one local (Pilsner Gaming, my city) server, where I was averagely good. That's fine by me, I like it. We played de_nuke, my second time in life playing it, but I got used to it. After this, I was playing this map with bots. Now I'm playing this: On hardest difficulty and am still losing. |

I LOVED Mass Effect 1. However, I'm sort of off videogames at the moment after a Baldur's Gate binge, so I think I'm going to hold off on ME 2, the relatively quick price drop discouraged me from buying launch and I thought the collector's extras were just OK. FFS, I think it went to $40 within 6 months, and it's only two years old and now it's $20! And I bought Bring Down the Sky and never even played it once.
I also can't find the cables for my 360.
Prey and TFU were fun rentals but don't really stand up very well. And the f**king destroyer sequence in TFU was the WORST GAME I HAVE EVER PLAYED. I will never play that game again just because of that. Edited by Henry Plainview - January 23 2010 at 20:33 |
