One thing I might have done, if I had the patience, would be to build a round by round 'seeding' into the draw. For example, the top two most popular groups in terms of votes would be placed at opposite ends of the draw, so there would be less chance of two 'super' groups meeting one another in the earler stages.

That would be tough in this instance though as you've gone down the 'genre' route.

That's usually what I tried to do in my past tournaments.

Maybe someday I'll do another one again and improve heavily on it.

Voted for TFK, one of my favorite bands, but I know they'll be crushed by Genesis in this poll.
At least it's great to see that they got more votes than two renowed bands such as Renaissance and Änglagård. Big smile

Ahh, the luck of the draw.  My two favorite bands in the first bracket, I'll vote for "The Flower Kings" this time as I'll be able to vote for Genesis in the second round.

Good idea, great effort. It's a pity so many great bands are missing.

The amount of effort you put in your poll-system is amazing! I wish there will be some nice results that aren't to logical!
I voted Genesis, but I don't own a lot Renaissance.

Änglagård's Hybris is my favourite album from this bunch, but Genesis has lots of quality albums, so it would be approppriate to vote for them. At this point it doesn't make much of a difference what I vote, but Änglagård it is out of respect and sympathy.

Yeah you coulda saved a lot of time and energy and just has a KC vs. Floyd vs. Genesis vs. Yes poll......

But wheres the fun in that? Wink

Seriously though, cool idea, nice bracket, should be fun. I'll beat a dead horse and give Genesis another vote.

Yeah, back when I voted they only had like 6 votes, so voting in favor of Annie and Renaissance wasn't so absurd of a plan.

There would be a point if everyone voted for bands other than Genesis. Wink

If it was more even, but Genesis nearly has a 30 point lead. I expected it to happen, if they were more even I would be tempted to vote for different band just to kick Genesis out of the running for once. LOL
