Btw, P-U-L-S-E is terrible imo.

Well, I have only heard ADHD on youtube, it's good, but SLS owns it.

Allmusic doesn't know music if it listened to it. Rolling Stone is rubbish, and Yahoo! is hardly a feild leading critic. But yes, PULSE is not great, but it is not that bad either.

It wasn't the best, but it was nice seeing DSotM performed in full. They completely ruined "The Great Gig in the Sky" though.

I never really care for TGGINTS though. As long as they did not murder Time, Us and Them and ACYL. I was happy, and still remain happy enough with it.

Its barely even PF playing it.

Should be called Session musicians play the music of Pink Floyd! Featuring David Gilmour, Nick Mason and Richard Wright.

Seriously, when there's two session players for each band member, I don't see how it can even be considered a show by the band.

Yes, but you have to remember that PF almost always had a session musician playing with them, be it Snowy White, or some anonymous roadie out the backstage playing Bass for Waters.

Pulse did not need that many, I agree, but Guy Pratt was needed for Bass, and Renwick was needed for Rythym. Jon Carin maybe not. The Backing vocals were needed given that most of DSOTM has extra vocal parts. Considering that 3 of the major 4 members were playing - of course it was PF. It just didn't have Roger scowling around the stage spitting at hippies and missing Bass notes.

Never mind that tons and tons of prog bands have overdubs that are either being played by other musicians onstage (Porcupine Tree) or by using pre-recorded tracks with pedals (Rush), or I guess any other numbers of ways. Nothing's ever like in the studio.

It was annoying see a small village on stage playing the music of a 4 person band.

Yeah, I found the amount of performers  in P.U.L.S.E. annoying.  I still like the video though, but I don't like the performance of "Time" much.  The extended guitar solo on "Comfortably Numb" always sends chills down my spine.

Did you like the The Decemberists song I posted Josh?

I think my favorite song from PULSE might be "One of These Days"

I'm listening to it right now, and I'm enjoying it so far.  The Decemberists seem more like an Indie band than a Prog band.  Their songs are too short! Tongue
