They're like a rock band except with no talent, no originality, and they're all gigantic douches.  Basically.

Look, I grew up listening to generic rock bands and loving it.  I love even decent music.

Nickelback is sh*t though.  Sorry- nothing but commercial crap.

Same here, luckily I got away from generic before Nickelback reached my ears, even though I still hadn't found prog by the time they came around I knew there was something much, much better than them.

I like it all...

So there you are.  I'm no man!  LOL

I thought most said dry red.

Oh damn, Wayside used to have it but they're out now. I should have gotten it when I had the chance but I was lazy.

Pinot Grigio is not very manly, Rob.

For what it's worth, Crac! is a lot better than AMF.  But yes, everyone should obtain at least the first four from Area.

Wow, I absolutely love Wobbler's last album, even though it is them trying too hard to be prog. (I think it was Robert who said that)

I'm getting Maledetti for Christmas, I'm looking forward to that.  Frankly I'm just looking forward to every album I'm getting, lately particularly Klaus Schulze's X and, of course, E-Re.

I reckon there will be at least 10 people who report this post as spamming now...

Two possibilities:

a.)  Yuk, which is too bad because I enjoy other Magma.
b.)  Yuk, because I hate Magma and E-Re is an album by that band.

The first option might make interesting conversation.  The second, not so much.

If we got reported for spamming in this thread most of us would probably be banned by now.

E-Re is excellent but I do feel it doesn't quite peak and doesn't hold my interest so much in later stages.

Part II is the best but the beginning of Part III is also excellent.

I don't know what it is exactly but something doesn't fully work for me...

I've heard it's mostly previously released material, which I think is lame.
Four minutes in and I'm still not bored. There must be something wrong with me.

I kinda get what you mean. I mean, it's awesome but it comes nowhere close to KA or MDK IMO.

That said, it's still in my top 3 prog albums of 2009.

Your top three prog albums are KA, MDK, and E-Re? That's not very diverse...
