I am pretty new here, but 90% of whatīs been mentioned in this thread Iīve seen countless of times...
Maybe the peeps who have been here since Napoleon bought his first x-box are running out of ideas, or maybe we are all the same listeners with tiny minuscule differences - all of us rehashing the same questions involving our beloved music?
Naaaa - maybe itīs just time to incorporate other stuff like: Which kind of fruit do you enjoy whilst listening to Aranis? (Well, thatīs a no-brainer of course. Pineapple)
Whatever to put on to an outdoors gig in February played in northern Russia featuring the newly formed Beach Boys Fantomas band?

"Why is X band considered prog?"

In the end the love you take is equal to the love you made...

Everything here is pretty much what I was thinking.

How about the administrators and moderators begin to enforce rules against making these threads for a certain amount of time and see how much original content begins to spawn?

EDIT: No more threads about Genesis either.  They're terrible.

Many of the threads on the subject matter of differences in musical quality, innovators, all the ramifications of the prog music world business and fan based beliefs on their heroes. When a younger progger posts a thread like this, it is the only time I can truly enjoy myself and it's quite entertaining and amusing as well. It can be quite educational to hear all these ancient proggers and younger proggers rise together with various opinions and analogies. I am very much a mixed bag regarding music as a whole so for me it's quite like enlightment for me. Some people on P.A. feel tired and bored with threads such as this. If there is any of what we call today trolling in these types of threads it brings excitement and interest to the viewer and people here seem to have an understanding of communication and that makes it worthwhile.

Unfortunately, I don't have the authority to delete threads or lock them, but you may notice that many times the second post is a post from me that says "This has been done before, please check out these threads xxxxxxx and xxxxxx."   And yet, after I post that, the new thread still goes on for 3, 4 or 20 pages.

Genesis or the threads about Genesis? LOL

Then there's the griping about prog related artists being here...

I hate to break this to you, but both.

Yeah, I saw a few of those threads.  I see it more prominently in the reviews.  Some of them show one star, and then they go "this is the best album ever, but it's not prog enough!"

I was thinking in some thread like "Genesis against evolution" and it will be like how a band could start very prog and smashed down as a pure pop crap band in their own evolution... but I'm not sure if they gonna get the joke...

"Goodbye" I am not coming back to this thread or site until I see that you are ready to acknowledge my superiority. Or I can't hold myself from re-stating my self evident truths. THEN, AND ONLY THEN , will I say goodbye for good. At least for a good litlle while. But while I'm here, I ...........

"I'm taking my turntable and going home" I thought for sure that prog music lovers would be open to all sorts of music, and I can't understand why they would not be interested in show how a Rap DJ can use prog records for sampling.

"My feelings got hurt", don't you know that it hurts me to think that you cannot see I am right . Please agree and put an end to your inadequacies

or any variation thereof... I could quote a part of a famous George Carlin bit where he gives an example of how a certain anglo saxon word is used when one sees one has lost the arguement Big smile

"poor poor pitiful progger me. "

I love AC/DC and Gentle Giant. But I also love you all Hug
