You like TD, so I guess that makes up for it. Wink Haven't heard of Terry Riley though.

@Pekka: Indeed. Frengers is eargasmic.

Quake is eargasmic. Erik is an amazing cellist.

I'm listening to that album either after Ki or later tonight.

LOL

Quote Of course, I bowed out a few days ago.

Mike needs a friend.

Why did you go back at all?

You were like "I'm not stepping there again". Nächstest Tag...

I haven't posted in there in a few days (well, maybe once, but I don't think it was serious).

Notice I never try to convince Mike that evolution is false or that God exists...

I would be lying though if I said it didn't irk me when people dismiss the Bible by arguing against what it doesn't say.  Ermm

That is kind of my thought. Rhyader has an excellent riff but aside from that...but then again I don't know if I have ever heard the end of it since I am usually asleep long before then.

I'm not as crazy about Mirage as most Camel fans, but Moonmaddess is a pure delight.

Moonmadness is almost as boring as Snow Goose.

Well, I'm just not that big a Camel fan, we can leave it at that.

I think Moonmadness is my favorite, although I haven't heard much of Camel.

I still have not heard all of Mirage.  It is one of the few albums from the classic bands not named Magma or VDGG that I don't have.

I'll get around to checking them out eventually.  Not yet, though. Tongue

I don't see how you wouldn't like it.

When I joined PA, people were Camel fans, now they're all disgusted.

Interesting times.

I like what I have heard from it.  I also like the Camel debut and Moonmadness, so it is probably a safe bet that I would like it.  I just have never found it.  I think that I ordered it online once and then it ended up being out of stock.  I think that I might have bid for it on eBay once or twice too, but lost the auctions.

I consider Camel to be masters of simple prog, if that makes any sense.

I almost kind of don't consider them symphonic either.

But they are symphonic. Clear symphonic. Up to a certain chronological point.

I still don't have an amazing grasp on what exactly implies which genre and all, but I've always thought Snow Goose sounded more like "light Canterbury" or something than symphonic.

Is Tarcisio Moura now on the "ignored reviewers" list too? Wink

I was introduced to Camel years ago as a "Canterbury" band, but apparently PA doesn't see it that way.  I don't really get what qualifies a band for most of the genres either.

And I would be inclined to disagree (to an extent).

Maybe he gets some slack since Richard Sinclair plays on the album. Wink
