Well, tell me any RIO band on this website to listen to, and I'll guarantee you that I will like it.

Does that include Avant?

Try the Residents. The sample from Duck Stab.

I need to start making a playlist of all my albums so I stop listening to my favorites all the time.  Then again, I enjoy listening to my favorites, hence them being my favorites.  I don't know.

Even God hates Twilight!

Owned! The problem with his story is that as far as I know, typically the FBI doesn't go after people downloading one file.

Hey, this is quite good.  Well, miles ahead of Merzbow, that's for sure.

That is because The Residents are awesome. I've only heard Duck Stab and I listened to Eskimo on Last.fm, but they are definitely high quality stuff.

Bye bye. See you later. Drive carefully, or at least close Firefox carefully.

I find it funny that the Residents' "Not Available" isn't available right now.

Agreed, but he should have had the brains to use high-grade hard drive cleaning software. I know I would if I was stupid enough to have an "accident".

It's on eMusic.

I think that guy is lying somehow--if the FBI is going to bust you for one file, they're not going to wait a year to do it. I know that it's very possible to accidentally download cp, but I don't see the FBI using their limited resources to go after you unless your computer is infected with a virus that is spreading gigs of cp without your knowledge. If they really did that, pretty much everybody who has ever gone to /b/ would be in jail.

Yeah, when you visit /b/,  or sites that have a ton of members from there, it is highly probable that you have seen jail-worthy images. I can't say if I have or not, but I'm not willing to try that hard to remember.

While I have never seen real CP (I try to avoid websites that are frequently under attack by monsters), I am pretty sure I have seen multiple images of girls under 18, although I only know for certain in one case. It's kind of frightening, but I console myself that the FBI is going after people downloading 3yo_suck.avi. And only one of the times is a confirmed under 18, and that was not something anybody else knew about, so I'm safe on that.

It's actually kind of a funny story. Someone on a small forum I used to frequent gave us access to his Flickr account so we could see nude pictures of his (admittedly very hot) girlfriend. I changed the password because I think it's a horrible thing to be doing, and after I found out she was 17 I deleted them. I also emailed her because I thought she should know, and they broke up. He was a total ass even besides that, so I feel it is justice. That is one of the few times I felt like I actually did something good on the internet, because if I hadn't gotten in before all the other people on the forum they would have posted that on 4chan and claimed she was 18 and she would never have gotten off the internet. I knew it was her because his Flickr was linked to his Yahoo and there were pictures of her from her cameraphone in his inbox. There were also pictures of his penis. :(

IF he is telling the truth the punishment is insanely harsh. I can see being on probation, but the files were deleted and inaccessible, etc. But really, does the FBI come a year after you dl a couple cp pics?

That's what I have trouble believing. I have read about them doing stings and arresting everybody who downloaded the file named 4_yo_suck that they uploaded even though it wasn't real CP (it may have been even just people who visited the download page, which is troubling as it means you could be rick-rolled into jail), but the arrests were pretty fast. If they were monitoring the file, I'd imagine the same thing would be true. If they weren't monitoring, how would they know?

But I am an idealist about the police force, so maybe I'm wrong.

That doesn't take intention into consideration. There are a bunch of shock sites that I could have lived without seeing, but people link to them (disguised) anyway. It doesn't mean I wanted to see what I saw, but I did. Dead
