Kids these days... Smile
I have met a lot of babies lately. Last night I met my cousin, and then today at church.

Yay, we're now famous in indie circles!

Animal Collective covered a pan flute folk fragment by Gheorghe Zamfir in the piece Graze, from their new EP.
(2.55 onwards)

And I'm nominating the fragment for the "WTF musical moment of the year".

All right...I'm moving into the avant part of my composition this afternoon.

I need some help on how to be avant.  I have pen and pad ready to take notes.

So guys, what should I incorporate into the avant prog section of my piece?

How about recording the sounds from the delivery room?  You could sample your daughters first cries and breaths into your first foray with brass instruments?  Wink

That is so boring. Syd Barrett knew what he was doing when he detuned his guitar until all the strings hung out.

Actually, I like that.

At the very end of one track on STW, you can hear my son crying in the background because the guitar mic picked him up.

That would be interesting to do. It would be a great intro/outro to a song, like at the end of Division Bell.
