To bring up the conversation I had with the RIO-lovers last night, I just finished listening to "In Praise of Learning." I'm still not feeling it, but maybe one day it will click. | I enjoy two pieces of it very much. Everything else I pretty much hate.

Perhaps it will. Henry Cow isn't a band that's going to click immediatly for most people. Although either that or "Western Culture" is my favorite by them.

I really enjoyed "War," liked some parts of "Living in the Heart of the Beast," tolerated "Beautiful As The Moon - Terrible as an Army with Banners," "Morning Star," and "Lovers of Gold," and abhorred "Beginning: The Long March."

"War" is a great song, no matter what anyone says.

Probably the thing that kept me from enjoying it the most was the vocalist. I don't know, I thought her voice just went into the most unpredictable directions, and sometimes seemed like she was just spouting random crap right on the spot. I know that she isn't on every Henry Cow album, so maybe I'll check out those without her. I thought she was pretty good on "War," though.

Dagmar is a good vocalist, no matter what anyone says. She is an acquired taste though. And she isn't on Leg End or Western Culture, so you could try those next.

I'd go with Leg End next. It's their most accessible, although I use that term somewhat lightly.

| What I have written and recorded so far.
That and I took today off of work, and it turns out there was nothing to do anyway.

I am not happy. I have a stupid test tomorrow in a math class I am basically retaking from high school.

| The worst thing I have to compare to that is the fact that I have awful recurring dreams where I literally forget to attend a certain class for a while, be it in college or high school, so I all of a sudden realize it, and go to the class and by then it's too late.
And then I wake up.
To a screaming kid.

She's not on Unrest either, according to the PA page for it.
