You should listen to it. It's REALLY good.

@Pekka: I actually thought that No More Stories was fairly good. It's not as good as Glass Handed Kites obviously, but I thought the overall feel and flow was pretty good. It felt like they were trying to make a really happy album since Kites was fairly dark.

I'm just now listening to my first samples of The Muffins via Youtube.  Cool stuff there. Thumbs Up

I've listened to it about five times since the release and I just can't remember anything about it apart from the two singles (that I think are very good), the dumb backwards intro and the track with the children singing. A very boring album so far, but I've still got hopes for it.

Blah, to school now. I didn't sleep much and I've got an exam I haven't prepared for...

Mmm...looks like I'll be ordering Manna/Mirage and Chronometers soon.  I'm really liking what I'm hearing.

I remember listening to the Muffins at one point but I don't remember anything about them.

I had a musical epiphany last night. I got to this page through I Hate Music, and listening to Spinner_Spade, I found myself being emotionally moved. I can't explain it, but I guess this means I'm not an actual noise fan now.

I played Audiothecary 2004 and it punched my eardrums in the face.

But sometimes I want to be punched in the eardrums I guess.

But at the very least you have to admit his performance descriptions are hilarious.

"Three members of The Haters were involved. The stage was under a viaduct near the city centre. The main props were numerous glass bottles, two sofas, and the cab of an abandoned semi. The sofas were cut up. The glass was smashed. And the truck was set on fire. The smoke could be seen for kilometres around. The performance lasted 15 minutes. Entitled "A Trapeze Number". (#75)
The term "Trapeze Number" refers to the festivity of air born refuse."

"While walking the corridors of La Grande Arche, GX Jupitter-Larsen was counting the number of garbage- cans he saw. He counted zero. Entitled "Ictanea All Nyrris", this solo performance lasted a hour. (#90) "

This is my favorite bird ever.

I should have known to turn the volume down before listening to noise. how silly of me.

At a flat near the Karl-Heine Kanal there was a live installation. An electric drill empty of any drill bit was placed in the middle of a floor in an empty room. The installation started when someone pluged the drill in. The bit-less drill was left to rattle around on the floor by itself. Ten minutes later, the installation was over when someone else unpluged the drill. (#329)

I watched A Fistful of Dollars for the first time Friday night thanks to it.  I'll be watching A Few Dollars More and The Good, The Bad and the Ugly for the first time soon as well.

Ahh, back home with some motW, perhaps I'll make myself a cup of tea to enjoy while listening.

He's not obscure.  He played with Nucleus, Gilgamesh, Isotope and I think even Soft Machine.

Inon Zur is also obscure yet most people (well, gamers anyhow) have heard his music.
