I'm not sure, I wouldn't say that liking Magma or Koenjihyakkei is a prerequisite to liking Shub-Niggurath, they seem closer to a lot of the Univers Zero/Present style stuff IMO. Other than that, though, of things I've heard, bwt is right. Edit: Erm, bwt's post that I was referring to has disappeared.

^ The Univers Zero comparison is for Shub-Niggurath, not Koenjihyakkei.

Yeah, Koenjihyakkei is basically nothing like UZ except for the fact that they're a band.

Matt, your recently played tracks have gone insane again, looks like you're pre-planning some Koenjihyakkei tracks to play by a couple hours again.

They are more like Magma, except if Magma was on cocaine.

Yeah, in general it's right, but like I said, people who don't like Magma or Koenjihyakkei might still like Shub-Niggurath, they're another completely different animal IMO.

That reminds me, if you like Univers Zero, check out the Shub-Niggurath sample on here, you might enjoy it.

But then some people think all three are awesome. Edit: the Shub Niggurath sample is easily enough to convert most people.

Oh definitely. Angherr Shisspa might be the best place to start, but you really can't go wrong with any of the 4 albums.
