I already am already signed up for classes next semester, two math classes to get out of the way, a business class, and a philosophy class. I am trying to get all the extra crap I need to take out of the way.

As it should be.
i have something of a date tonight and i'm hoping it goes well, i really like this girl...
Hope you have a great time!
now i gotta make my schedule for next semester.
I always liked doing that for some reason. Felt like I was making progress.

Of course, nothing beats not having to make a schedule in your last semester.
| Interesting...I also enjoyed making up my schedule for college. It was fun trying to see how many "free days" I could muster by distributing my 21 credit hours to as few days as possible.

So I sold one bass Saturday, and now the bass I've kept ceases to function properly.

That stinks, if my bass ever ceases to function properly I'll probably explode. I play it all the time I can, and I haven't found another bass which feels as nice to me and sounds like I want it to.

Surprisingly enough, a Squier VM Jazz fretless that I picked up used. I've tried others of the same model, the various Fender fretless jazz basses, etc. and I haven't found anything else that plays like it and sounds like it. Whoever had it before me set it up basically perfectly for my tastes, except for the strings, which I've figured out on my own (Swing '66s).
I've got other basses as well (a fretted 4-string Ibanez P-bass and a no-name fretted 6-string and an upright bass), but this one gets about 99% of my total playtime or more.

I abhor the sound of a fretless bass. I don't know what it is, but it makes me cringe.

I really love the sound of a fretless, but it's not for all styles of music. That's why I'm trying to find a fretted bass that plays as nicely and sounds good to me. So far I've found a couple which play well, namely Peavey Cirrus and G&L 2000 Tribute.

Strange man... a Squier fretless... well... who would expect that.??! but great man... the same for me, I can change my ol' acoustic guitar.. it has 11 years and I still like the sounds and the tension from the strings and everything and the guitar was quite cheap back in those days... I guess there's something more special than marks and models, just what fits you and is made for you, it is and that's it right...???

Exactly, just goes to show that an instrument doesn't have to cost outrageous prices in order to be amazing for you.
