Map of the World on that is one of Marillion's finest moments. A great rendition of a sorely underrated single.

"Map Of The World" is wonderful, Lazzy. Beautifully produced and the lyrics are so cool. Co-written by Nick Van Eede of Cutting Crew, too.

Thanks for the review on Ostara, Lazland

It sounds pretty good - I'd rate Rothery as my second favourite guitarist (Only behind Steve Howe) so I think I'll check out Ostara when my birthday comes around!

I was really quite surprised by it, Joel. Hannah has a stunning voice as well.

I'm getting the new DVD of this year's convention, I don't care how much it costs!  I couldn't afford to make it in person so a DVD at least lets me see the performance.  Going to marillion.com now to see if I can pre-order it yet.

It hasn't been posted yet, but I'd keep checking in. Reports indicate that it'll be around the holidays.

I plan on getting it too. They filmed both, so I'm wondering if it'll be a multi-disc box set like Wish You Were Here. I know the production of the European convention will be far better than that of Montreal. I only saw a few cameras; whereas at the other convention they had many more. I'm also hoping for CD's of these shows, too.

I emailed Racket Records about the convention DVD.  they said that now that the less is more album is done they will be concentrating on the DVD.

so no info other than a verification that it's in the works.      kenmar

I'm all over it Joel,  a DVD of a whole convention is so very different than a single concert.  very excited about this.  not so excited about less is more.   will be interested to hear what you guys think as I haven't pre-ordered it.

Through the magic of YouTube, just reliving the magic in Montreal some 6 months ago. It's so hard to believe that a half a year has gone by. Definitely one of the most special times of my life.

This really got the crowd going on night 3 (the night of the epics). The entire theater was just electric.

Really in the mood for Somewhere In London tonight. Going to watch Flash Forward on DVR first, but then poppin' in this gem.

Tonight I think I'll give Recital Of The Script another watch... Only bad thing about that disc is the poor drumming, which really drags the performance down for me.

Hope you enjoy!

Joel, the way Mosley upgraded their sound is staggering. I've heard that Mick is a great guy, but I simply cannot get into his drumming. Even with Arena it's sluggish.

I'll definitely enjoy it. Been a while since I've seen it.

^^Good to hear - The most startling comparison of drumming for me is the live version of SFAJT on Recital, and then listening to the performance on La Gazza Ladra... Ian really blows it out of the water!

I know exactly what you're talking about, Joel. I remember watching the video and how awkward it sounded. Mosley has a much more fluid, natural style. He even changes up the hi-hat pattern as if to say the original was way too uninspiring for him.

Just about to pop in Somewhere In London now.

Taking a little break from SiL. Did you ever join the WebUK? A new issue is coming out, which is my last one for this round, so I re-upped. Think this'll be my 5th year being a member and always enjoy getting the magazine in the mail.

I haven't so far, but I'm definitely planning on signing up soon - I'll probably buy a subscription along with my next purchase from the Rackett store
