They're saying you can download the album a few days before if you purchase the CD. Even though I'm not a huge fan of this project, I'll probably pass on the download.

Have you guys heard the acoustic version of "Hard As Love"? It's actually pretty good, but the original intensity of the song gets a little lost. Sort of like the reggae version of "Alone Again In The Lap Of Luxury" from the Unplugged At The Walls disc. Something just gets lost in translation.

^^Unfortunately, I haven't heard any of the acoustic versions Marillion have recorded so far (Except for the acoustic studio version of AFRAID OF SUNLIGHT on the 2CD remaster version) and I also think I'll pass on the free download...

The acoustic stuff is actually quite good. Along with Unplugged At The Walls and A Piss Up DVD, there are a couple of Los Trios discs in the Front Row Club. Additionally, there's an all acoustic set on the Wish You Were Here box set from one of the conventions. I haven't watched it in a while, but Pete's reaction when he can't get his bass in tune for the beginning of "Go!" is hilarious.

He's such a perfectionist. He hit the wrong bass pedal for "Holloway Girl" at the convention and was so mad at himself.

Saying it tongue-in-cheek. I doubt they would ever do "Grendel" live in any format anymore.

There are so many songs from which to choose, I wouldn't have a clue what the hidden track is. I am looking forward to the new song, though.

^^ A new track sounds good - But I'm still finding it hard to get into this as much as I would an album of new tracks.

Joel, not even sure I'd be excited over an all acoustic album of new material. I'm sure it'll be good, but sort of stalls on their momentum.

What's next on your 'to buy' list...Marillion-wise?

Well, I have already ordered a copy of Anorak In The UK, as you recommended, and with my birthday in November, I'm planning on getting either the EARLY STAGES: THE OFFICIAL BOOTLEGS 1982-1987 and the last 3 Marillion studio albums I need (Anoraknophobia, Marillion.com and Holidays In Eden), or possibly the 3 studio albums and the From Stoke Row To Ipanema and the This Strange Convention live DVD...

Not too sure about the Official bootlegs boxset, considering the pricetag so far...

I have the Early Stages bootlegs and they're top shelf stuff. I've listened to all of them and the performances are amazing. The intensity from the early years with Fish really come through.

The Stoke Row DVD is very interesting...being it was the first tour with h. They do everything from Seasons End, plus "Slainte Mhath", "Kayleigh/Lavender/Lothian", "Warm Wet Circles/That Time Of The Night" and "Market Square Heroes.

As for the studio discs, Anoraknophobia is Really great. Personally, I think it's worlds beyond Dotcom (which I don't care for). Some are hoping that with the next convention in 2011 that they'll commemorate the 10th anniversary and perform it in it's entirety.

Then, of course, you'll have to save up for the new DVD coming out later this year.

I think by the holidays. I'm hoping it's a box set like Wish You Were Here and include both conventions.

Speaking of which, you should try to track down Wish You Were Here. Amazing DVD. The live version of "This Strange Engine" is worth it alone.

I had a look on Amazon and eBay, but couldn't find any copies of it unfortunately...
I'll definitely get the next one, however...

I wish Racket wouldn't discontinue merchandise like they do. Fortunately, when I first got into the band I was ordering a lot of stuff (much to my wife's dismay) and was able to get everything before they stopped making them. Hopefully you can track down a copy because it's well worth having.

I've been away from the forum for a few days owing to helping my wife in a new businerss venture, but I did get a chance to sneak a listen to Hard As Love from More = Less, and I really enjoyed the new take on what is a particularly intense track from Brave. I will be pre ordering the album later tonight. Having listened to the afore mentioned track, I'm looking forward to it even more.

Listening to it right now - Its actually amazing!

This has completely re-invigorated my anticipation for L = M
