Avanti! is definitely great, so are other Miriodor albums. It looks like everybody can understand it, sadly

No, sadly
Probably not But it was only to show him (Todd) these bands. I'm sure if he likes them, he'll buy their albums. Edited by Tsevir Leirbag - September 05 2009 at 08:26 |

Yeah, I'm not a believer in illegal acquisition of music. Having looked at that blog, there are song samples but I don't see a link to any rapidshare files or somesuch. There are some wonderful samples of many many bands, though, so thank you so much for the great resource! I only wish that many more of these were reissued, like Ungava. Man, is that great stuff, whale bones and all. Maybe some day . . .
Thanks Mot Retep! Oh, I mean Tsevir Leirbag! Edited by Todd - September 05 2009 at 11:27 |

I've listened to the samples of Garolou--great stuff! I see that compilations of their first four studio albums are available (Tableaux D'Heir vol 1 and 2). I think I'll be picking those up soon!

it's the only thing available in Cd foprmat, but these 2on1 albums are missing every time at least one track from each original album..... which is really weird since they clock in at less than 70 mins.....

THAT is a sad thing. I definitely prefer having both (complete) albums, separately. But as Sean said, it contains every songs from their first and second albums except maybe two or three songs, which is not that bad.

I listened to the song missing from the s/t album, "Alouette," and frankly that one doesn't seem too big a loss!
But I do much prefer the entire album, just for integrity if nothing else. But, like with Octobre, I'll have to take what I can get!

^ Of course
Yesterday, I bought Conventum's Le bureau central des utopies, and I like it even more than I tought. The re-edition sounds very good, the bonus tracks are AMAZING. This is a great album. Is there any Conventum on the Rock Progressif du Québec's compilation?

Beau Dommage has been accepted for Prog-Related.
Does anyone want to write up a bio (in their own words) and be credited for it???
If so, submit it to me via PM, and I'll open the page up so the albums can be added (also looking for voluntary members for that task...)

Do you know about Unexpect? Sure it's quite different from what you've been talking about, but it's still pretty interesting. Lyrics are in english for the most part, though...
I'd say Unexpect perform Extreme Progressive Avant-Garde Tech Metal with elements of circus music. Check the album In A Flesh Aquarium if you're interested (and open-minded).

^ How did you get it if its official release date is on mid-october? Miriodor is a great band really. Any news about Péloquin-Sauvageau, did you listen to them?
If you still need the link, let me know.
