Good news.

Spoke too soon James! Apparantly he didnt like the tone of the FOTA teams press releases after Wednesday's deal, particularly the part saying that he was a dictator, so is threatening to stand for re-election again. Certainly seems to confirm that he's a petty, spiteful b*****d to me.

What no!!! So close.

Like I keep saying, he IS the son of a fascist. Explains his actions and attitude perfectly.

DeadAngry  Just get Mosley out of here....

Well, I was kidding about Max Mosley being the son of a Fascist.

Maybe he's not alone

Yes, he did a great qualifying on the wet.

BTW, does anyone watch the World Superbike championship?

I'm glad I found this thread :)

I feel sorry for Sutil, without that collision with Raikkonen (deja vu?) he would probably have been 5th, maybe even 4th, at the end.

Not much of a motorbike fan Luca, but if KoS turns up he'll certainly talk about MotoGP.

So Webber won and Hamilton came last.

I didn't see the race though, I've been busy all day.

Oops! Cry  Apologies, Dean.

I've not seen the Tour de France.  I did catch the Cricket though.  I won't say a word though.

Hm....yes, like that time he was taken out by Kimi and probably would've been 4th, @ Monaco!
How can you not feel for the guy, esp since it was his home GP.

Anyway, HUGE congrats to Mark Webber! ClapClapSmile
Finally, his first win, and he had to overcome a penalty... What a strong car he had today.
I really like him, and think's he's more than deserving. Congrats again.
Red Bull got the sweep with the young German lad Vettel taking second
Ferrari is continuing to improve, with Massa grabbing 3rd.

Hamilton was caught up in an incident and drove the race with a damaged car.
Button had tire issues and made an extra stop, so his 5th was not to shabby. Although the Brawn's did struggle with grip...I never saw anyone warming their tires DURING the race like that.

Also a very very tight finish from 9th to 12th.
Anyway, pretty good race I'd say, and it appears McLaren and Ferrari are turning it around.

Sorry for such a late comment, but the race wasn't live on SPEED so I had to wait till 3:00..and I had to make a note to NOT check this thread and spoil it like I've done before LOL

I'm not convinced that McLaren have turned it around, the Nurburgring might just be a track that suits their car like Monaco and Sakhire were.

Rosberg had a great race, 15th to 4th!

ClapClapClap @ Webber. Excellent job and well deserved. I wish I could have seen more of the interviews after the race though...damn Fox....

Interesting championship points standing as of now as well...three drivers seperated by less than five points for second. Granted Button still has a huge lead...but still. And it will be interesting to see how McLaren does in the upcoming races. At least they made it out of the first round of qualifying and qualified well.
Dig me...But don't...Bury me
I'm running still, I shall until, one day, I hope that I'll arrive

Yeah....when is Fox not being a pain in the @$$   LOL
And Sleeper, I'm not saying it's going to be a 180 but I do think McLaren is on their way. I guess time will tell.

And I didn't know...Webber now holds the record for longest drought before their 1st win, (longer then Rubino even?) Anyway, congrats again to the Aussie!

Too bad the german camera work was quite poor, they missed many overtakings.... For example, Rosberg gained 11 positions, but we saw just one or two passings.

^ Yeah, but that always seems to happen.

I remember so many times when a pass is about to happen and you hear the announcers get excited then suddenly would cut to like a minardi driver making a pit stop.
At least that's improved.
Also, they seem to have fixed the black out problem. I dont know if this is everywhere, or just in the US but randomly for a few seconds the picture would just go black, and there were even disclaimers before saying "world feed subject to blackout". This happened, EVEN in Canada though LOL

Figures.

Oh, any news on the F1 split? A friend told me it looks to be resolved and the split isn't happening. I have not heard a thing about it though.

I dont think Rosberg did much on track overtaking though, he had a dinamite start that got him into the top 10 and jumped the rest with an extremely long opening stint.

Check the last few posts on the previous page, though arguments between the FIA and the teams will never stop (the battle for controle of F1 has been going since the early 70's, its just the players keep changing or switching sides).
