The word 'khatru' was apparently invented by Jon Anderson. (from Wiki)

I remember from Dan Hedges' biography that it was supposedly a Yemenite word, meaning "if you wish".

I agree with moogtron III about the Yemenite word but I believe it actually means "your will Be done." Similar but not the same as "if you wish."

Always reminded me of Klattu, from the movie The Day the Earth Stood Still.

1. I could tell you, but I'd have to kill you. 2. Khatru is a real word, Siberian is made up. 3. If you went through the motions, you might understand. I think the more important question is why do you need to hold down the window?

I understand the idea of the nonsense lyrics, even if they're grating, but the word Luther in there always struck me as really out of place.

Are you insinuating Luther wasn't in time?

Khatru is made up, Siberian is somebody/something that was originally from Siberia.

Khatru is probably a magical horse from outer space.
