I decided to only allow one person per band to be in my supergroup:

Clean Vocals: Layne Staley (Alice in Chains)
Acoustic Guitar/Additional Clean/Growled Vocals: Mikael Åkerfeldt (Opeth)
Keyboards: Steinar Sverd Johnsen (Arcturus)
Lead Guitars: David Gilmour (Pink Floyd)
Rhythm and additional Lead Guitar: Fredrik Thordendal (Meshuggah)
Bass: Sean Malone (Cynic)
Additional Bass: Jeff Caxide (Isis)
Woodwinds: Toby Driver (Kayo Dot)
Violin: Tim Charles (Ne Obliviscaris)
Drums: Unknown Drummer (Deathspell Omega)
Additional Drums: Danny Carey (Tool)
Extra Effects/Ambiance/Production: Brian "Lustmord" Williams (Lustmord)

Makes me want to faint to think of how amazing that would be...

You have no idea that you stole my idea for a thread, DID YOU?AngryOuchLOL

I'll wait a few months... my idea's just a little different and I don't want to foul up what you started.

Why must my spell-checker continually underline the word "prog"?

Omar Rodríguez-López     (The Mars Volta)       Lead Guitar/Producer (PRODUCE YOU EL PASIAN!)
Daniel Gildenlöw                (Pain of Salvation)    Lead Vocals
Gavin Harrison                    (Porcupine Tree)      Drums
Martin Mendez                     (Opeth)                        Bass
and to tie up the lose ends, just throw both of the instrumental power houses (Niclas Flinck, Carl Westholm) of Carptree on whatever they want to play.

I Guarantee, you give this lineup of stars a sandbox to play in, they'll give you miles and miles of soundscapes.

George Michael (vocals)
Phil Collins (vocals)

Interesting. You have all vocals.
Dear me, so it seems!
Frankly, I just personally think, that if you brought the masterminds of 20 bands together, all you'd get would be a pizza with too many fillings to fit in, or too many differing ideas and finally just artistic disagreement so bad, that nothing good would turn up. But I think there guys and girl could make some pretty nice A capella. If any a capella can ever be nice that is Smile
