It's nice that the court of your f**king opinion has the power to make someone have no value as a human being.

People, do you really think it is the time or place for such comments?

I'm with Raff, let's show some respect people. I'm f**king disgusted at the comments that I've seen around PA and facebook. Human life has a value, be they demonized by the media or not - and let's face it, the guy was a brilliant showman and musician, something that we pride ourselves in respecting.

No, but I don't believe that disqualifies me to distain child molesters. Didn't think mine would be a popular opinion but then I don't have the attachment to MJs music that allows me to view his life through rose colored glasses.

I'm with you Raff, and I feel that my key strokes hold little value, but if the forum is as open as the people who get away with spewing vomit like this then I'm entitled to my opinion.
Dead or not, child molestor or not, we're talking about a breathing, living, conscious entity who had feelings and a life, people who loved and trusted him, individual thoughts and processes.
I f**king hate people who believe in a firm belief of good and evil, there's no such f**king thing! There's a society of morals that mean nothing in the overall scheme and if you can't show respect for the passing of a fellow human, be they abide by your morals or not then you're not worth as much to the world as you believe that person was. Yes, I'm putting you in the position of an ALLEGED child molestor. How does that feel?
do us all a favor and SHUT THE f**k UP!

Although I think people get hysterical about pedophiles because they don't understand how they operate (I read recently that a school in England banned anyone from photographing soccer games but I can't find a link), the point is not the natural reactions one has towards pedophiles. The point is that he was acquitted, yet despite the law deciding that he was innocent (twice!), since it his opinion that he did it, he feels free to disregard the evidence and declare him a worthless parisite. This isn't OJ, folks.
But even if he were guilty, being a pedophile does not invalidate him as a human being and I take offense at the notion that it does. They are criminals, yes, but their crime is no different from any other. In fact, we should pity them more, as the vast majority of the time they were the victims of abuse themselves.

Well, rest in peace. I loved some of him classics in my MTV early childhood, but afterwards I lost all contact with his music.

He was talking to me, lol.
I don't even like his music. But if you have no empathy for a person whose life was so screwed up by things beyond his control, then I feel sorry for you.

Let's keep this civil.
As Larry King wisely predicted just now, this time next week we will have had our fill of salacious tabloid Michael Jackson stories.
For now can we just behave with a little dignity.

It's sad when any person dies, but not particularly affected for Michael Jackson (I always try to be honest).
What bothers me is that some stations like CNN in Spanish are showing a portrait of almost a hero, something far from reality.
Hope that he finds peace wherever he is now.

Slight correction: he settled out of court in 1993 (twice!). And why isn't this OJ? He was found innocent in the same court system by a similar group of "twelve really stupid people who are easily swayed by rich, fat-cat, slimy lawyers, who'll do anything but tell the truth" (its from Wrongfully Accused). OJ was great in the Naked Gun series by the way so I fully expect when he dies he'll get a thread mourning his loss. And King By-Tor: I feel fine today knowing that if I died tomorrow that you'd repect my passing not that I'd care, I'd be dead after all and either in a far better place, far worse place, or just gone.
will step aside now with respect for Tony's wishes of keeping in civil (I submitted the above post before reading his post)

You know, I looked at how many hits this thread has received in a short span of time and thought, "You know what? I bet it's turned into a huge cluster #$&! because of a few comments."
I'm not a fan, nor do I agree with how he conducted his life; however, there has been plenty of time to throw negatives about the man around, but on a thread in honor of a man on the day of his death? And I say this out of respect to the author of the thread than Michael Jackson.
