Jake, I think I told you this already, but my Mom is also a computer artist like yourself. I showed her some of your work, and she says you are very talented, and is even considering getting me your Negura Bunget shirt

^They definitely are two of the most forward-thinking genres (although I think there are way fewer progressive/experimental black metal bands than post). However, there's also a lot going on in the indie pop/rock scene as well. Lots of great experimental bands these days. Those so-called "modern prog" bands are doing some neat stuff these days too. And of course there are some great innovative groups/people in the tech metal and electronic scenes. |
Yeah there's a lot of cool progressive and experimental stuff going on in the "indie" scene. What started out as sort of a trend of being "artsy" actually evolved in to truly artistic and progressive tendencies in a lot of bands.

A like a feisty equality
wtf! |
Yeah, Negru was a jerk and did something to really piss off the group so they broke up. All the band members are playing in another band... High expectations!
I'll find a link when I get the time.

i read somewhere that they infact didn't broke up, just the two members left the band, and remaining memebers are seeking for new members to complete Negura Bunget

From their Myspace page.
"Meanwhile, a new Negura Bunget line-up is assembled , which will continue the path started almost 15 years ago. Rest assure, we are keen to prove there is more to be said by this band, and we will work to fulfill our spiritual endeavor relentlessly . All Negura Bunget scheduled plans (concerts, festivals, contracts with Aural Music/Code666 Records and Prophecy Productions/Lupus Lounge) will be completed in the new formula. New website and myspace page are developed and will soon be online.
Negru, of behalf of Negura Bunget.
The new official Negura Bunget line-up is: Corb - guitars/vocals Spin - guitars Gădineţ - bass Inia Dinia - keyboards Ageru Pamanatului - vocals/pipes/percussions/xylophone Negru - drums/percussions"

Sooooo basically two of the three band members quit leaving only the drummer, so he recruited 5 other members and is still calling the Negura Bunget. Not sure I agree with the way that was all sorted out, but only new material will tell whether this was a good idea or not.

He pulled a Damon Che. In all seriousness though, this is quite sad news; Om was the album that really made me start appreciating some Black Metal bands.

Krallices debut was one of the best to be released last year! I've heard of Lantlos but I don't own any of their work, I'll check it out...
