For art work, since I'm only really going to make this available for sale on MP3 when it's done, I'll make it available with a "cover" art thing in JPEG format at the very least.
I'm lucky to be friends with one of those irritatingly talented people (a bassist, keyboardist, guitarist, awesome drawer/painter, only thing he can't do better than me is guitar lol). He's lending me his 5 string bass guitar, and since unlike me who has trouble drawing stick figures, he has the knack for visual art so I'll get him to do a "cover' for me.
If someone wants to make me a "back cover" type thing and will do it for free, sure thing, just bear in mind I haven't got the money to pay you if wont do it for free lol.

True dat Clap

I have a local friend that plays a 7 string; it would be nice if he ever used more than the top 4 strings though.

I just discovered a Post Metal band called The Pax Cecilia recently and I love it! They sound somewhat like Maudlin of the Well, without copying their sound. Has anyone else listened to them? If not, I fully recommend them!

I take it you got Blessed are the bonds.

I like it, but I find it a bit redundant, and IMO isnt very well structered.

Haha, yeah, I read you're review. I think I agree with you, but if you ignore the album structure, the music is really good.

I still say the structure is just fine.

^But that's irrelevant. Anyhow, I only spoke forth to give my input to the new Pax Cecilia fan.

Blessed are the bonds is a bliss from god .. true masterpiece..i love it .. and when The Pax Cecilia ruled the world ..
Ian i can see you have heard Drudkh- Microcosmos, i heard it too, and not bad..some softer melodies..harsh vocals are reduced..heavy edge almost abandoned ..but still good

I like the very strong bass playing in Microcosmos! Black metal is not a genre known for it's bass players, but I love how it's perfectly mixed, and he's not just playing tremolo all the time.

Chris you know I'm just playin whitcha.

So has anyone besides myself and Angelmk heard the new gifts from Enola?

The Pax Cecilia are pretty darn bad ass. (and they sent me a free copy of "Blessed are the Bonds" to boot!) It's hard not to admire a group of people that are so sincere about music that they'd spend their own money to print and distribute records. (along with some pretty spiffy artwork)

Anyways, looking back now, after experiencing their first album, i feel that they progressed alot; it makes me feel very hopeful for the future and the potential that they have.

I didn't think it was bad, just super average.

I like The Pax Cecilia, however nothing of theirs hit me hard to say I was stunned or anything. Just kinda good and solid, rather than particularly amazing.

Holy smokes, "Distant Cries Of Cranes" is amazing. Shocked

Drudkh has a damn fine rhythm section for a black metal band, i just wish they'd ditch the painful static distortion during the "metal" segments.

So in my opinion, it's basically the album Pelican wishes they could make. I absolutely loved it.

Ugh I agree! If they got rid of that, they'd be such a better band! Blood in our wells and the new one are my favorites!

Dan I'm glad you like it! Some really good aggressive post rock! Benthos and Trieste are excellent songs!
