Incidentally, this morning I saw a few copies of the first issue at one of my local branches of Barnes & Noble. Once the mag got to the US, it wasn't hard at all for us to find it... Let's just hope it'll get here a tad sooner than the first issue did!

Nice little article but I think they could have gone a bit further with it. Personally, I think this magazine needs us more than we need it. I still can`t find the latest issue anywhere in Montréal.

A little unfair, Ian - they didn't need to feature us at all - the fact they did the feature at all will benefit this site.

The first issue of the magazine sold out in double quick time, I'd expect the second to do the same - remember, this magazine is only a small part of the Classic Rock franchise, which itself is only a small part of Future Publishing.

Finally broke down and got issue 1 and for the most part it's about what i expected: there are a few nice articles for the classic prog fan and they don't overwhelm with the prog metal sh..uh.., let's go with "stuff", that has devoured the genre but I don't know that it's worth 15 bucks.  Admittedly, I haven't listened to the CD that came with it yet but I doubt if it'll be my cup of tea.
The one thing I didn't understand was the feature on Asia.
Are there actually still fans of Asia? If not for South Park would anyone even remember Heat of the Moment?
Keeping my fingers crossed there's no Styx feature in issue 2

I am hoping as well that there is no mention or picture of Dennis DeYoung in any issue.

(Note I did pay to see Styx in the 70's. Is was about getting the girl.)

I have bought copies of Classic Rock which advertised the Classic Rock Presents Progressive Rock magazine, but have not been able to find any copies. I wondered if it was a hoax or had failed before it appeared. .

Trolling, right? Nobodies? You know as well as I that the musicians featured on the cover have sold more records than Fripp, Bruford and Hammill. You may not like them, but they ain't nobodies.

Sales equal quality, eh?
