I've read a number of his reviews as he was putting them out a massive pace, and they're all quality. If he maintains his interest in the site, I think it's a no-brainer that he should be a reviewer. I've certainly bounced in and out of other sites enough times that at least some sustain should be part of the selection process, though.

You are quite a fine person, and I am very fond of you. But you are only quite a little fellow, in a wide world, after all.

I don't think he should be a prog reviewer.

If he is, he'll supersede me on the one hundred most prolific reviews list.

And I can't have that.

Maybe you need to get out some new albums to review, man!!!

Or I might even catch up. I do 1 or 2 a day. Which one should I do this afternoon? Russian Circles or Ocean Machine?

I write 1-3 reviews a day.  I don't necessarily post them that day, but I write them.  If I dumped all the reviews I have stored up, I'd make Sean Trane look like a newbie.

Okay, maybe not quite that...

How do you have time for that?

Between work and studies, personal affairs to take care of and a very limited time for myself, I don't have time for reviewing much and I have a small stock of promo's to review.
I personally need time to review as I don't like to just write a short thing but rather put time and effort into it like many others do here (including you) and so it takes me time to write them.

I really envy all those who seem to have time for this.

I used to have the time for two reviews on a daily basis, without neglecting school (well, the important classes, at least Wink), study, reading, etc.

But now I'm utterly blank.

I sit at my desk and work on it in between appointments. It takes me half a day to do a 400-1000 word review but the time allows me to at least scan through the album twice while writing. Average day, one in the morning and one in the afternoon.

Haven't thought of this... I'll ask my wife's permission to neglect her...

On a serious note, that is also why I have little time to work as hard as I did in the ZART in the previous years (and also assisting other teams) when I used to add bands on a regular basis and do more team work. Now I can't commit to it due to lack of time and I'm very jealous of all the other team members which seem to be here day and night. I come in here several times a day but it's for short periods each time and only for things that take short time, like post news, recommendations, add an album, give my opinion of a band in the ZART, but that's it and I wish I could go back to the acitivity level I had before. Now I feel bad for not posting the reviews for the promos as quickly as I did

.

On topic - the opening poster should definitely be a Prog Reviewer.

I pretty much stay logged on, and I write reviews once I feel I've heard an album enough to do so.  I've got a respectable library, and I pick things up on the cheap (I just got a Muse album and the new Mastodon album for less than a case of beer).

Anyway, our Mr. Conor should be among the prog reviewers.  I delight in reading what he posts, even if I don't know the album in question.

I only write reviews by accident these days. If I`m in one of the offices I use and get sidetracked I`ll write one. Right now, there are a few that need fixing up so I kind of feel guilty writing fresh ones. Plus I`m working on a top secret project for the site right now which is consuming a considerable amount of my time Cool.

As I said before think this guy should be a prog reviewer. He even lists his occupation as composer/songwriter so his interest in music has some depth. The enthusiasm is definitely there.  I`ve seen other people on the site with fancy titles with only a handful of reviews.

Me too. It's not a good time to be a jourmalist in Gordon Brown's glorious kingdom of the greater UK.

All I can get is part time work as a chef. I won't say where I work but if any members come to Norwich to eat avoid the lasagne or anything containing pasta, just in case I made it (I can't do Italian - just can't get it right).
It's not that I can't find worth in anything, it's just that I can't find worth in enough.

I am off to Hawaii tomorrow and will be doing some cursory work enquiries. You never know but I probably have more chance of getting served a soup sandwich than being given a job offerSmile
