Topic: How Does One Become A Collaborator? Posted: April 04 2009 at 15:28 |
Hello,
I'm just wondering what the criteria is for becoming a PA Collaborator. I have upwards of 110 reviews, and should technically be in the 100 Top Collaborators list for amount of reviews. Can someone message me concerning what I would need to do to upgrade my account?

I can mention something to the admins to take a look at your reviews for consideration for Prog Reviewer status.

From what I have seen, you would fully qualify for promotion as a PR. Your reviews are indeed good , not just plentiful.

Well, some of us actively seek it out, others start out as Prog Reviewers then get promoted at a later time, and then there are those like myself who are kind of just ''picked'' to be a Collaborator based on past activity in the community.
I would say based on what I've seen of your reviews, you would be qualified for a Prog Reviewer promotion. Good luck, man.

110 reviews is easily PR status in my mind. I got picked for a Collab position based on my knowledge of Prog Metal obviously, heh.

No one speaks of it but you have to sleep with someone. Not necessarily anyone on this site though. And by sleep I could literally be talking about sleep... I believe it also has to be dark on a Thursday.

I dunno. One night I was drunk, and the next day I woke up a collab. Still not sure how that happened. Still not as bad as waking up in a strange place next to a really strange person and not remembering. Or is it?

I can understand your anger at me, but what did the horse I rode in on ever do to you?

A guy I knew some years ago has one of the "best" such stories I've ever heard. He wakes up one morning, with a hangover of major proportions, besides a chick he doesn't know at all - and when he looks out the window there's nothing familiar to be seen at all - but he can see that he's in the second floor of a house. He gets dressed and starts looking for the kitchen, as he's pretty thirsty after last night's heavy partying. In the kitchen he gets some warm, friendly greetings from the parents and siblings of the girl; and tries his best at being friendly and answering for himself in that horrible hungover state - and manages to get along pretty well. Eventually he finds out that he's in a town close to 150 miles away from where he lives. To make matters even worse, he's broke as a pauper - not a penny in his pockets. Not a morning he remembers fondly - but one he'll remember until the day he dies I believe ;-)

Does sleeping with my wife count??
|
You mean he (the thread starter) needs to sleep with your wife to get a promotion?

than we'd all be collaborators.
back in the good ol' days sleeping with the enemy would count as such

I was asked by Max after only writing a few reviews and took a week to decide but that was when the site was in it`s infancy. I also write bios. Maybe check up on missing bios and impress the hell out of the admins by writing a killer missing bio.

In the good ol' days collaborators were hanged or shot, sometimes both. 'Special' collaborators got special treatment Hey Tuz

Has anyone bothered to read this guy`s profile or any of his reviews? I took some time to go over his profile ( he`s 16 years old ) and some of his reviews ( including a good one on Signals by Rush ) even though I`m not a prog metal freak but I think the kid has the right motivation. He`s got my vote for all it`s worth.
