^Hehe, I'm pretty much still addicted to SikTh.
The vocals are a very acquired taste, I have to stress that though. Some people hate the vocals with a passion.
I did at first, but after 2 weeks, I fell in love with the vocal style.

I´m listening to Oceanic at the moment. Isis is actually pretty new to me. I listened to Panopticon when it came out but I wasn´t interested in their style then so I´m giving them a second chance now and I must say that my interest has increased greatly. A review of Oceanic will follow shortly.

I really love their EPs, so different from their full length albums, especially Mosquito Control... Some really great ideas on that EP.

Glad you're getting into them..  I just can't seem to get enough post metal these days.  Love the exploration of the riffs..

Mosquito Control is a good EP, but I prefer what I have heard so far on Oceanic. Celestial was interesting too, but I wasn´t blown away. I think Isis is the kind of band that will grow on me in time.

Vira ( who I´m not familiar with) and The Burning which is a Danish band I´m not that familiar with either. I guess chances are that I´ll be in the bar during those bands ( I got the next day off from work), but I´m sure gonna shake my bald head until it falls off to Gojira. To quote good old Accept: Balls to the Wall or maybe Exodus: Toxic Waltz. It´s been a while since I went to my last concert so I´m really excited.

Never heard of them either.
I guess whoever booked the tour was lazy and just got the easiest Danish bands to get a hold of, since I would have figured Gojira would have gotten more well known bands to support.

That´s the usual when bands visit Denmark. It´s very seldom an opening act proves to be very interesting. But there are exceptions of course like when I was blown back at a Cannibal Corpse gig by the opening act Fear Factory who had just released their Soul of a New Machine album. One of the best live performances I can remember. Damn they were hungry back then. Cannibal Corpse was sort of forgotten a few days later.

Ah, back in '92. Not really familiar with that album.
Cannibal Corpse was just as metal as it comes back in '92 I can only imagine.
Any other cool bands you see back then?

The list is too long to write here I was very active in the early to mid nineties. A few of the bands I saw that I´m happy to have seen in their prime are Atheist ( on the tour for Elements), Death ( on the tour for Symbolic), Morbid Angel ( on the tour for Covenant), Paradise Lost ( on the tour for Shades of God), My Dying Bride ( on the tour for Turn Loose the Swans), Carcass ( on the tour for Heartwork), Obituary ( on the tour for The End Complete), Napalm Death ( on the tour for Fear, Emptiness, Despair or was it Utopia Banished???), Entombed ( on the tour for Wolverine Blues), Atrocity ( on the tour for Todessehnsucht), Malevolent Creation ( on the tour for Stillborn), Deicide ( on the tour for Legion), Pungent Stench ( on the tour for Club Mondo Bizarre. Unfortunately they had left the S&M gear in the tour busLOL) , Macabre ( on the tour for Sinister Slaughter), Brutal Truth ( on the tour for Need to Control), Gorefest ( on the tour for Erase), Tiamat ( both on the tour for Clouds and on the tour for Wildhoney), Sepultura ( on the Chaos A.D. tour.) And a bunch of other concerts with mainly progressive metal bands like Dream Theater ( on the tour for Awake) and Fates Warning ( on the tour for Inside Out) and Psychotic Waltz ( both on the tour Mosquito and Bleeding). There where lots of other concerts but I can´t remember them right now.

I guess I have to check it out. Just saw that the first song on their MySpace featured my old guitar hero Jeff Waters ( Annihilator).
