HAHAHA ! Well done, Raff! Lots of good classy tunes on Country Life, hope you got the real cover art and not the censored version. You may remember the huge s**tstorm it caused when released in North America! "Them there suthen poe-lease" folk in Congress didn't like the "porno" cover . hahahahaha! I haven't stopped laughing over that idiocy since as it just made everyone want the original even more . You are Micky's Prairie Rose , indeed!

I've just googled Henry Cowell, whose fame and genius had not, I'm afraid, extended to dear old Wales I refer, of course, to that other great talent of the extended Cowell family, Simon. God, I hate that man! |

Thomas, you'll be happy to know that I don't like the Stones either, though of course I don't believe they are the worst band in the world. They have just never done anything for me, unlike The Beatles (even if I could not count myself as a fan of the Fab Four either). BTW; we finally got Country Life, and now we can think of you every time we listen to it! |

Anything produced by that awful w****** Cowell However, having said that, when he's on the goggle box, I get to put my headphones on and listen uninterrupted to hours of prog, so long may he continue

hahahaha! You are watching me, huh? No the light is still dim. I do not think the Stones are worst band ever, they are just EXTRAordinarily overrated ever since Jones dies (was killed?) and especially since Taylor flew the coop. I personnaly think Watts is at best a poor drummer, Wyman was totally mediocre (especially when compared to the mercurial Entwhistle) , Richards is technically more of a riff-finder mummy than anything and Jagger, well, I can't stand the guy/girl. I will probably get stoned to death by some out there but isn't that a primitive form of capital punishment? Rest my case.

However, some can be so bad that for one record only, they are good, e.g. Randy Avey (?) and The Green Fuz on Here Comes The Green Fuz (found on one of those Pebbles collections of 60's garage band recordings.
One of the great grating compilations was Kenny Everett's Worse Records Ever (or some such title) a mix of bad C'n'W and badder early British pop singles. One British artist even went back into the recording studio to re-record two tunes for the legendary Kenny, since Decca Records won't give permission for the originals' use - as a clue, the singer had a hit in the UK with Venus In Blues Jeans. One American C'n'W song had each verse devoted macabrely to the death of one of the male singer's family - with each death getting more outrageous than the one before. Fun, I don't think and indeed the way it was sung was akin to fingernails scrapped down a blackboard - three verses I think was the limit before the pain really kicked in.

Just about any band currently played on the radio and tha majority of acts on Poop Idol.
And all those dancing supermodel singers with tiny, tiny, tiny voices. Edited by npjnpj - March 16 2009 at 03:06 |

I always thought you remove Fred Durst and it's actually not bad. Wes Borland is a surprisingly talented guitarist and you can hear that in some of their songs, but the vocals totally ruin their music and make it unlistenable really. |
