yes, there are thrash elements and more.....they are sort of like a cross between Sculptured and Deserts Of Traun (both of which are worthwhile also.).

I´ve just read on a Danish metal site that Vogg has decided to continue with the Decapitated name. I´m so excited I could scream. Since the untimely death of Vitek and Covan´s serious condition after the tour bus accident I was worried that Vogg would give up his music career. I can´t wait to hear more brutal tech death metal riffs from the meister ( he is one of a kind IMO). He is searching for a drummer and a singer at the moment. Anyone as fanatic about Decapitated as I am?

well , i'am not some fan of decapitated but, their music is not bad. Organic Hallusinosis is fine album.

Hell yeah it´s an excellent album IMO. Crushingly brutal but still sophisticated enough to keep my attention. Nihility is great too. The Negation and the first two albums ( which are the same album re-recorded) are not as great as the Organic Hallucinosis and Nihility but they are still interesting albums. Vitek was just 23 when he died and had already recorded five albums and toured the world with Decapitated. One of the youngest extreme metal bands I´ve ever heard of ( Well Enslaved is a good example too).

Ah, you are enlightened. I just cannot wait for their next album. Seriously, I'm on the brink of wetting myself waiting.

Magnificent band. Though unlike you my good UMUR, I enjoy all their output, including their most traditional black-metal era. (I've 6 albums by the guys...) They really stand out over most of their contemporaries..

I have all of their albums and love them all. One of the most consistent black metal outfits. I prefer their newer output in general, but all feature a few top songs.

yeah, truly enlightened Smile. it has been 15 years since focus, i would say it was worth waiting, but i object on waitng another 15 for their next.  another band that amazed me recently is Gojira.ive listened The link couple of years ago and now i renewed my interest for them again. any fans here? this band rules. ''from mars to sirius'' is GIANT.  the way of all flesh is also good one.

I'm a big Gojira fan ... I also love their album terra incognito, although it's not a very cohesive album, there's still plenty of ideas I'd love to see them explore further...  I finally found and bought a copy of "The Link" DVD recently also..  Great band.
