te' was formed in January 2004 by Kono in Tokyo, Japan.
As soon as they began playing live shows, they gained rave reviews and much praise
from critics and fans alike for their inspirational performances. Their demo CD sold
out instantly. Their first single was then released through Zankyo Records(Japan).

Despite lack of promotion, and being a virtually unknown instrumental band, their first
single became extraordinarily popular and received critical acclaim.
The single reached number one on the Disk Union (Japan) charts. Having observed the
success of te', Tower Records Japan offered to assist in promoting the band. A special
te' listening section was featured in Tower Record stores throughout Japan. By doing
so, they won the hearts of the Tower Records staff, and their single sold almost more

te''s highly anticipated debut full length album was released in September 2005, and
immediately charted at number ten on the Tower Record Japan charts ahead of many
major popular artists. Their album sales continued to grow as they embarked on a tour
of Japan. Recently, te' played shows with Swiss band Koch Schuetz Studer and Coptic
Light from New York. Koch Schuetz Studer even invited the band to support them on a
tour of Switzerland. Word about te' is fast spreading across the seas, with foreign
magazines such as Bounce, HMV, VICE and so on featuring the band in their articles.

More and more fans are flocking to see te' perform live. With an effects-infused bass,
explosive guitars, and pounding drums at its core, te' is a world-class instrumental band
from Japan.

te' consists of 2 guitarists, a bassist and a drummer. Their music is similar to bands such

i didn't get above post for te biography quite , but however i listened new album from From Monument To Masses -  On Little Known Frequencies, i find this album good, not exceptional, not amazed from this one, but still it is worth listening ,it has some nice catchy melodies, good vibrations are spread ..

nothing special about from monuments to mases , they serve similar tunes  as Laura , Wang-Wen,  God is an astronaut, Gregor samsa, My education  to name just a few   

God Is An Astronaut are great indeed, The End Of The Beginning is the album for for, new God is an astronaut  is also worth listenining

Not entirely sure why the PR team hasn't added Gifts From Enola yet.

I'm listening to the samples in their myspace now...sounds ok...I'll add the to our charts...just give me some time..to work on a bio and stuff

^The Evpatoria Report totally deserves a place outside of that list.

Maybe, but their instrumentation, attention to sonic detail, and riffage (i.e. the funky groove in "Eighteen Robins Road") are far better than the others from that list. And I think their general mood, tempo and song lengths set them apart from that list too. I mean, I think even if they are generic, they don't sound like any of the other bands you mentioned.
