and of course, Rush...

Next show in Vancouver…February 21st at the Biltmore (with Shad)

January 19th, 2009

Well, our last show was certainly an adventure…Thanks to everyone who came out (well, those who came without badges or guns).

Our next show is on Saturday, February 21st at the entirely legal and legitimate Biltmore Cabaret, with Polaris Prize short-listee Shad.

Bit of an early show, so be prepared: Doors at 8pm show at 8:30pm.

Advance tickets are available at Zulu Records.

ROUGE CIEL is another very good Avant Prog one from Quebec.

These guys were recommended to me recently and they really are one of the best modern Avant bands I've heard.

Thanks to this thread I just got their self titled album and I'm really loving it. Very dynamic. I will definately be purchasing more.

Red Sand, Sense, the D Project, Ken Baird from beautiful Dundas Ontario, Ere G and Hamadryad. But there are probably more prog fans per capita in the province of Quebec than anywhere else.
I never post anything anywhere without doing more than basic research, often in depth.

And I would be remiss if I didn't mention my recent favourite from Quebec - Leitmotiv. Their debut Entangled brings back memories of Genesis / Maneige / and many others.
And you can download or buy the album at http://www.leitmotiv.ca/ at very good prices
Well worth the time for lovers of piano/keyboard prog. Now I should really  decide which MP3(s) I should suggest for Admin's upload (as authorized by the group).
