Queen Appreciation Thread

I think this great band deserves an appreciation thread. I don't recall ever seeing such a thread dedicated to Queen so I decided to start it on my own.
So, here it goes. Queen is one of my favourite bands and Freddie one of my favourite vocalists. They were the first band I felt in love with. Being born in 1980 I grew up listening to their 80s and 90 hits. Me and my younger brother together with our mom were real Queen freaks then. I discovered their 70s albums much later and I love both eras.

Now you can find their albums attached to the most popular newspaper in Poland. Every tuesday a new album. That revived my interest in Queen and I decided to build a collection. I've got 10 of them so far:

A great band that a lot of people probably hate, but they really did great music and albums, and Mercury's voice was unique.

Again, a lot of people hate it. My only problem with it is that it doesn't feel to me like there is enough Brian May on it, despite a couple of yummy tidbit guitar solos, as if he had not participated to the song writting as much as the other two members.

First and foremost, I think they shouldn't use the name Queen when there's only a half of the line-up engaged in the project and it's missing the most important ingredient - Freddie's voice. Besides I remember that after Freddie's death the remaining members said that never ever...

Great band i like most his first half of 70's albums

Queen is one of those great bands that I always meant to listen to in depth but I never got around to it. I only own "Queen I" and "Queen II", and a greatest hits compilation but I would love to check out their other albums. "A Night at the Opera", "Sheer Heart Attack", and "Jazz" are the next three I'd like to hear.
