Given varying time zone differences, at some point in the next 24 hours I can guarantee 99% of ProgArchives members will be turning to somebody (perhaps slightly inebriated) and saying those classic three words. So from Vicky and I, to all our friends here: HAPPY NEW YEAR MAY 2009 BRING HEALTH, PEACE, SECURITY AND HAPPINESS TO YOU AND ALL THOSE YOU CARE FOR. |

7:21pm for me now, so less than 5 hours now until the new year. I shall be saying those words in quite an inebriated state of mind to other people tonight, after a glass of wine........well okay, after about 8 glasses, and I don't mean wine glasses, I mean like proper size coffee mug size cups of wine |

Well I'm already started into the Scotch and it's 5AM in Montreal Canada. I'm looking forward to hearing Auld Lang Sein when I'm obliterated out of my head. My wife is driving so the world will be safe. Remember no drinking and driving.
Happy New Year!

It's always double the celebration here, since it's my mother's birthday. So I'm already having a Jameson with my folks, but the real party is bound to start in 10 hours from now.
Happy New Year to everyone, and here's to an amazing prog-rock 2009!! |

Oh, happy birthday Rico's mom.
And your location "sekaino hate de" is in Japan I guess.
Anyway, this year will be about 4 hours left in Japan.
Now I say HAPPY NEW YEAR a bit earlier.

Here on the East Coast of the US it's not yet 9 a.m... still a long way to go before midnight. I would be lying if I said I am not sorry to see this year go.... Though at the end it finally brought me what I had wanted for so long, still it was not an easy year by any means. Anyway, I wish you all the best for 2009 - may it bring to you everything you desire!

Blimey, Angelo, you must be exhausted after all that colouring in...
or have you spent the holidays attending one of Peter Rideout's 'Post-Modernisation' courses...
a Happy New Year to one and all....

Nah - since Angelo took a step back from Admin, he's not spending all his day keeping you lot in line He's got more than enough time to "Do A Rideout" on his posts.

2008 told me to go to hell (having to take my son to the ER, fearing we might lose him, having lost my job in July and not finding anything since, numerous setbacks with my recording, etc).
So here's to 2009- I hope it's a great year for everyone, full of laughter, love, and prog.

I wish you all the best for the year 2009 fellows - we have a lot to care for - here as well as concerning our 'real life' may all your wishes and plans come through ...
BTW - the next step is to cross the 4000 bands/artists mark (not far away actually!) Uwe |

I've still got a good 9 hours left before New Year, and I can't wait. Nothing like spending NYE playing poker and numerous drinking games with your closest friends in my opinion. Happy New Year everyone. Speaking of which, what is everyone doing tonight?
