So what is your favorite instrumental Genesis song?
I'm going to discontinue the other poll series I had (What's your favorite song by....) and do something a little more specific.

Is it me or Unquite Slumbers for the Sleepers and In that Quite Earth aren't there?
Anyways, Los Endos gets my vote. Amazing song, it could have been longer though. In that Quite Earth would come second, and then Horizons

You left off two great ones. Unquiet Slumber for the Sleepers...In That Quiet Earth; and, Do the Neurotic. And those are my two favorites. Technically, 2nd Home isn't really an instrumental, as it does have lyrics at the end.

Haha, no Pablo. I think only an admin can do that. Besides, the poll doesn't warrant closure. He can put whatever songs on it he wants. If he wants to make a best Genesis instrumental poll and put Invisible Touch, I Can't Dance and Owner of a Lonely Heart on it, that's his choice. 
Seriously, just messing with you Jozef, but you might want to consider editing the poll and putting the three instrumentals on that me and Pablo mentioned. They are all good ones.

Unquiet Slumbers for the Sleepers would have been my pick as well. I voted for After the Ordeal...by far my favorite on the list.
Los Endos is pretty awesome too... After the Ordeal just has a better atmosphere to me.
I never cared much for most of the instrumentals from Lamb Lies Down... those tracks always felt like filler to me.
Horizons is musically very good but doesnt feel like a Genesis track to me (just a good Hackett solo composition) so i've never been a huge fan of that track (on a Genesis album) either.

As for me, I could easily go with "After the Ordeal," but there's also something about "Silent Sorrow in Empty Boats." I'll have to listen again before I choose.

"After the Ordeal" barely beats "Silent Sorrows in Empty Boats"--I love Hackett on the former, Banks on the latter.

If "Second Home" is up, one would think that would warrent "Dukes Travels" or "The Supernatural Anaesthetist". Oh well, "Wot Gorilla?" for me. There's just something about it, baby, so right. ( I should be shot for this.)

Doubting between After The Ordeal and Los Endos.
I choose the first one. I love the first half especially, with the acoustic guitar part and the piano in the background.
Seeing the list and the extra tracks that other people suggest makes me realise: Genesis made many good instrumentals  , more than I thought. I also like Duke's Travels / Dukes End a lot, some instrumentals on The Lamb, Second Home By The Sea... I also like Submarine. Do The Neurotic isn't bad, but still a bit throwaway. The last two tracks were only B sides, of course.
I'm not a big fan of The Brazilian: I found that a bit disappointing, but I know others do like it (like Iván). Wot Gorilla: I'm surprised that it got two votes, and are actually some peoples favorite Genesis instrumentals. Horizons: I like it mainly because it opens for some wonderful music in Supper's Ready. I noticed that Horizons sounds very much like a well known Bach cello solo piece, by the way.
Idea for a next thread some time: Steve Hackett instrumentals.

he must have made a confusion with Fading lights, which still is not an instrumental but nevertheless has an amazing keyboard solo.
