There's settings for Volume, Surf, Tornado and Wah, as well as a switch for a Siren effect. The only one that I can get to work is the Siren.

The furthest left is an E2 Akai Headrush delay/tape delay/looping pedal, it's actually the same as the one right next to it, but the more recent and better moedl. Really nice pedals, actually. Very good for the spacey looping stuff I do, and it's fantsatic for jamming. And on top, yes, 2 EQs, the left one is a vintage Ibanez Parametric EQ and then a Boss Grapic EQ on the right. My set-up is actually different from this now: I got a Lehle P-Split so that I can run each looping pedal independantly into each different channel of my JC-160 and I bought a Behringer Ultra Metal pedal yesterday for an experimental metal music project that I'll be starting up with some friends soon. It will have 3 guitarists and 2 bassists and will be all polyrhythmic and symphonic, yet repatative and symplistic. |

My bass, a Fender Squire Vintage Jazz Bass. I use an Ampeg BA115 amplifier. It's actually quite good for a Squire and an excellent intermediate instrument. I'd keep it even if I got a higher quality instrument. I've also got an old Casio keyboard as well. I'll try to post a picture later. Edited by Jozef - December 12 2008 at 12:04 |

That metal project sounds intruiging. If you decide to post some music, you should let me know where I check it out.

Awesome, will do. We've started to some work on it, though a fair bit of stuff still needs to be put together. We've written half a track with the three guitarists, but one of the bassists just went to America and won't be back for a month, and the other one has been hard to organize a jam with. And lastly, a drummer who is good enough for what we want is still being looked out for. But it is coming together and we will likely have something to show by March (fingers crossed)!

And also, actually, latest gearz:
Photo of me playing my Hagstom Swede at our last gig (my melodic art rock sort of band named Vangarde). My Roland JC160 and pedal board can be seen. Effects, amps and guitar sprawled over my floor. The amp under the desk is my latest beauty! It's an American made 50s Cordovox tube amp, meant to be for an electric piano accordian, but it sounds really nice with guitar, especially with my Lehle P-Split, splitting my guitar signal into both amps simultaneously to make some sweet sounds. Sounds really nice having my tape echo (from the Headrush) going through the Cordovox by itself, it sounds very warm and analoguey. Also, the Cordovox has 66 tubes inside(!), see picture below for reference. Edited by tremulant - December 23 2008 at 18:48 |

Finally, here's a family pick with my basses:
A little blurry, but I finally managed to get the lighting good. From left to right: Ibanez Roadstar II RB630. Nothing fancy, a well-built late 80s P-bass copy that I got mostly because it's so light very nice to play. Traded it for an Ibanez ATK 600 I had, which was a much better sounding bass (fantastic triple coil pick-up with active electronics and tons of sustain), but I didn't like the neck and it was very heavy. I've thought about changing the pick-up and pots in this one, but I haven't got around to it yet. Peavey Millennium 4. Older US-built model, not the current cheap BXP series. I won't say much about this one other than that it's a ridiculously good bass for its price (they aren't made anymore, but you should be able to pick one up used at around $200-$500) Fender Classic series Jazz Bass. Yes, it's Mexico-built, but the quality is a lot better than the Standard series. Beautiful instrument, great value for money. Everyone knows what the J-bass is so I'm not going to say much more. |

My modest Blacet modular synth... My drumset (most of it anyways), vibes, and some assorted percussives (on their amplified table/rack) and electronics in our old studio space... Edited by nightlamp - January 12 2009 at 12:30 |
