Other. If for example I encounter a situation where it's down to luck, I'll usually look for some grey slots which have a low probability of mines. If there is a line of "1" slots then there'll be few mines in the vincinity. If all the grey slots bordering the open slots have a high density, I usually click a random slot elsewhere. BTW: I'm not playing it often ... but when I install Windows on a PC I'll sometimes play it and try to finish the beginner mode in less than 10 seconds.

Everyone's favourite bunny! Of course the Harvey reference was the ONLY bit of this thread I did understand! Shall I leave now and let you boys get on with it?

sometimes you have to gamble at that game. this is especially sad if you have found all but 1 bomb, and you have no way to find out which of the last 2 remaining squares that bomb is under

oh, I only play at increased difficulty: maximum size with 210 bombs. that's a higher percentage of bombs per square than the standard games. extremely difficult that way; sometimes only a guess helps (or not)

I never choose the wrong one; I always put in "size 99999999999999999999999999" and "bombs 1."
So easy, even I can do it.

I don't get upset, but having playing Minefield it's confirmed my belief that such things as statistics and chance are a myth, it's pure Murphy, all the way.

Even at the highest standard level you usually have to guess at some point ...
