Venusian avant prog metal always had the edge, especially with the likes of Felixstowe Tamarind and Otto Magna-Carter at the forefront of the sub-genre. FFS! Otto used to play his laser mandolin whilst sitting in a bath of rice pudding...by remote control...from another planet! Beat that.

If you think that Martian prog is crap, I have three words of you; The Mystic Tentacles.
Since their third album - Wizard's Fist (a Rock Odyssey) which included
the
only use in prog rock of a startled donkey for the lead vocals, they
have lead the way in human/animal progressive collaboration. The
track 'Venusian Prog Is A Big Pile Of Poo' I think says all there is to
say about the state of the scene on that particular planet thank you
very much.
