Hey! I love Tina Fey!

Anyway, I BET you that Fey would out-debate Palin anyday day of the week.. not only in wit and quick responses but also in deep questions about foreign policy, the Bush doctrine, quantum physics, child care, Barney the dinosaur...

Hell... maybe even Bush can out-smart Palin!! ConfusedConfusedConfusedConfusedConfusedConfusedConfusedConfused

Bush is not and was never stupid I know. He just plays one on TV..But I know he's worse... if he was really stupid, we could forgive what he's done...., nor was he ever a "normal person"-- I never said that... the man was a millionaire groomed for the Presidency by his father. So, your point?  And before you say that he didn't deserve to go to Yale Now you anticipate my words???ConfusedConfused and only got in because of his father , I ask you: who doesn't? Oh, I wasn't going to say that, by the way.... And if he got to Yale thanks to his father, great for him. There are people that actually go in for merits, you know... But many go for reasons like this... Anyway, the verb-subject relation in your "who doesn't" is wrong... It would also refer to the first part of the sentence ("didn't deserve to go to Yale") and if you say "who doesnt" then you're creating a complete incoherence....

That last remark by me, of course, was utterly pointless. AS IS YOUR POST REPLYING SOMETHING I NEVER SAID.

I don't know why anyone would think otherwise."Otherwise" in relation to what?

After the debate I merely wanted to buy her a dictionary with the word nuclear highlighted so perhaps she can learn how to say it without sounding like a fool.

Then I thought perhaps if I had such a dictionary to give her I'd ask if she knew the basic principle on how a nuclear weapon worked.

That is similar to President Bush and the word terrorist.    During the summer it is always nice to eat out on the terrace.  I could always never understand why he had a problem with terraces.

^GMA pointed out just as many false statements with Biden's responses as they did with Palen. Keep both eyes open, kids.

^ Care to share a link or do just expect us to use our imagination on that one? Wink

Sorry if that came across as a little pissy, but I usually catch bits of that program in the morning and I didn't see that segment.

Go to http://abcnews.go.com/search?searchtext=Biden%20and%20Palens%20facts%20and%20fiction&type= and click on 'Jack Tapper Checks The Facts' and they're at least fair to show both sides.

Enjoy.

I was hoping for a text link but that video clip only points out only one error for each of them.  And good morning to you too.

The Think Progress piece is a much more detailed analysis.  But hey, I'm a political lefty and make no pretense of being fair and balanced. LOL

OK, this is just frightening, I was going through deleting junk e-mails (I've had my address for many many years) and somehow or the other I got on a mailing list that sent me this e-mail:
GOP.com | THE REPUBLICAN NATIONAL COMMITTEE
http://www1.agendavoters.com/www/delivery/ck.php?zoneid=351&iszonetrack=1&

Dear BRIAN,

I know that John McCain is the right person to lead our great country forward in these
challenging times. Republicans across the country and I share his vision for keeping
America prosperous and secure and look forward to helping communicate that vision to
the American voters.

As Governor of Alaska, I have worked hard to bring reform to politics-as-usual, fight
corruption and waste, and make certain that government serves the people, not the
special interests.

Our Party's entire ticket, from top to bottom, is committed to an agenda of cutting
wasteful pork-barrel spending and keeping taxes low so that American families can
decide how to spend more of their hard-earned money instead of bureaucrats in
Washington.  We must act now to increase our energy independence and ensure our
economy grows strong and offers opportunity to all of our citizens.
http://www1.agendavoters.com/www/delivery/ck.php?zoneid=351&iszonetrack=1&

I applaud John McCain's personal example of dedication and sacrifice to our country,
and I know he has the courage and experience to make the tough decisions that will
keep America strong to face the threats to our security from Islamic terrorism,
nuclear proliferation, and tyrannical regimes.

Like John McCain, Reform Republicans are optimistic about America's future -- and confident
that we will build on our past successes to make our great country even greater.

We reject the Democrats' fearful and pessimistic mentality.  When we are able to get our
message past the liberal mainstream media filter directly to the voters the vast
majority of the American people agree with our confident, optimistic view of principled,
conservative government and opportunity for all.

But the Obama Democrats and their allies are set to raise over $1 billion to relentlessly flood
America's airwaves with their negative and false attacks against our Republican candidates.

That's why I'm asking for your help.  Please help give us the resources we need to fight back
against the Democrats and their fearful tactics of doom-and-gloom.  Help us fight for a better
future for all Americans today by making a secure online contribution of $2,000, $1,000, $500,
$100, $50 or $35 to the Republican National Committee.
http://www1.agendavoters.com/www/delivery/ck.php?zoneid=351&iszonetrack=1&

I am honored to have been asked by John McCain to join him at the top of the ticket in this
historic presidential election -- and now I am asking you to join with me and all of our
candidates as we fight for victory on November 4th.

Sincerely,

Sarah Palin

P.S.  As we near Election Day, we must cut through the false claims and fearful rhetoric of the
Obama-Biden Democrats.  Please help us make sure we have the resources we need to get our
commonsense, confident message out to the American people by making a secure online campaign
contribution of $2,000, $1,000, $500, $100, $50 or $35 to the RNC today.  Thank you.

By the way if you are Republican inclined you might find the information above useful.  And you should also be personally insulted that Sarah didn't take the time to send you this spam. LOL

You know, I'm on a lot of liberal e-mail lists.  I wonder if they hacked into one of them?

Hey, check it out, Joe Biden personally sent me a spam e-mail back in 2006:

Dear Brian,

%20It is a disgrace.

We are at war in Iraq and Afghanistan but the Senate Republicans have spent the summer pandering to their base by debating the estate tax, gay marriage and flag burning. The sole debate we've had on Iraq was notable for Republicans once again offering absolutely no strategy going forward and trotting out the same tired "cut and run" charges against Democrats.

Time and again, Republicans have shamelessly put narrow political considerations ahead of policy. Because of the Republican's lack of leadership, the 109th U.S. Senate has not delivered a sound energy policy, a livable minimum wage or any solution for dealing with 46 million Americans without health insurance.

Today, we are just over 100 days out from the congressional midterm elections, and an opportunity to ensure that the 110th Senate acts on issues that really matter. That will not happen unless we wake up on November 8th with a Democratic majority in the Senate. We need your help to get serious leaders in control of Congress.

To mark the beginning of our 100 Days Out campaign, the DSCC has set a goal to raise one million dollars by Labor Day. To help kick off our campaign, a group of Democratic senators will triple all donations made before July 31.

These final 100 days will make or break the Democratic candidates who are trying to bring back accountability to Washington. That is why your help is so vital today. Please make an immediate contribution.

Click here to make a secure online contribution of $50, $75 or more today.

You would think that with the Middle East descending into chaos, Republicans would put politics aside and find a way for America to lead the world from the brink of crisis. Lord knows we can do it. But we're not going to get there with tough talk and empty rhetoric - which is the only thing Republican are offering.

These guys simply do not have a foreign policy. Four years ago, George Bush swaggered onto the world stage and branded Iraq, Iran and North Korea as the "Axis of Evil." But now we know that Bush had no plans to effectively deal with any of those threats, and as a result each country is more dangerous to America in 2006 than it was in 2002.

If we had strong Senate leadership, George W. Bush would have been called to account for these failures. They would have demanded that he explain the incompetence that has Iraq on the verge of trading a dictator for chaos. They would demand to know why almost five years after 9/11 our ports and chemical plants are still unsecured. Instead Republican senators hide behind the flag and make excuses for George Bush because they know their political future is tied to his poll numbers.

Devoid of any positive agenda, Republicans will spend the next 100 days trotting out scurrilous attacks on our candidates. Your support will give us the resources to respond. If you make a contribution before July 31, a Democratic Senator will match you 2 to 1, effectively tripling your donation.

Click here to make a secure online contribution of $50, $75 or more today.

George W. Bush has had six years to change course. By now, it is obvious that he will continue down the same disastrous path unless the Senate starts to exert some oversight. When Democrats retake the Senate, I promise that will happen.

We are in the home stretch to the November elections. Every single day counts. And every dollar you give counts. I hope I can count on your support.

Sincerely,

%20

Sen. Joe Biden

I actually never read that one but I do retain some junk stuff just because it might be fun to go back and check out old stuff.  So I did a search and lo and behold. LOL

I'm keeping Sarah's too, by the way.

Interesting how Joe's is more high tech even being two years older.  But then Sarah capitalized BRIAN.  Credit to both for not spelling it with a y or Brain (I get that last one all the time).

But anyway, weren't we supposed to be on topic, Sarah Palin...

Palin Releases Tax Returns

Sarah Palin has released her tax returns. Like Joe Biden but unlike John McCain and Barack Obama, she is not a millionaire. The adjused gross income for the four candidates are given below. However, it should be noted that John and Cindy McCain file separate tax returns and the vast majority of the McCain's income and wealth is in Cindy's name. She released a summary of her 2006 income earlier this year that showed her income to be over $6 million then. Most of Obama's income comes from the royalties on two books he has written.

Candidate 2006 Income 2007 Income
Barack Obama $984,000 $4,140,000
John McCain $339,000 $387,000

Joe Biden $249,000 $320,000
Sarah Palin $166,000 $128,000
