I finally got my hands on Apokatastasia's album "Shedding".........WOW.
They are included here in PA(added by yours truly).They don't have a Myspace,but their offical website has a few samples.This is great instumental technical prog metal with violin,e-cello and various percussion instruments thrown into the mix.

That's the one in the vein of French TV?
heh, that is one short bio... and Meshuggah reference answers my previous question, no...
Oh great, Seasons of the mist label took me two months to get my Green Carnation "A Night Under the Dam" DVD. Which if you don't have, is a must I think. Live show under a dam in Norway playing their Acoustic Verses in it's entirety.

1980 remind me a bit of Canvas Solaris,which is not a bad thing.
Hmmm...I love Green Carnation,but have never seen that DVD.Another to add to my wishlist..my wife will love ya for that.

Ouch, it's a costly one too...
Anything else while I'm here at Season's Mist? See Illogicist's "The Insight Eye"
and the Canvas Solaris reference ofcourse sold me.

Pardon for my igorance about the catalogue of Moonspell, but what I've heard by them was not really proggy. I doubt that they have something more progressive, than let's say My Dying Bride, but prove me wrong.

as for Moonspell;
their first one, "under the moonspell" is the most black metal sounding.
"wolfheart", "Irreligious", and "sin/pecado" all have a similar feel....and are probably their best imo.
"the butterfly effect" is most likely their most experimental.....I saw them on that tour for that album, great stuff, but it is quite experimental as I said.
I have not been as impressed with anything after that one. (butterfly effect)
it seems like finally they are going back to their old sound....
look here also:

"Samsara" seems to have the biggest jazz influence of the three they have out.. though I haven't spent much time with "Way of the Dead"
