He deserves to be in another uniform. He hasn't won in his last 10 games. I'd like to see him finish out his career with either Atlanta or the Cubs.

I think he's now up to 15 straight starts without a win. It's a shame, because if he has two more 12+ win seasons he'll grab the third-place slot on the all-time win list.

Yankees pick up Xavier Nady and a lefty specialist from Pittsburgh for (bad) reliever Ross Olendorf and a couple of prospects. I'm kinda surprised about that, because the rumors were that the Pirates' front office was demanding too much for Nady, but now it seems they weren't demanding enough.

It is my hope that Mark Cuban doesn't buy the Cubs and ends up buying the Pirates. I don't see how this trade is going to help the Pirates this year, the next or the one after. I would not be surprised if they end up trading Bay as well. They had one of the best Outfields in baseball before this trade.

Yeah, they had one of the best outfields in baseball. There's very little going for that franchise, but between Nate the Great, Nady, and Bay, they sure had a hell of an outfield.
Anyways, the Yankees have beaten the Sox in the first two games of this series and a third sweep in a row would be very nice indeed. I don't have much confidence in Ponson (that was an understatement), but the way the Yankees offense and bullpen have been rolling the Yanks just need him to keep them in the game.

^ Yea, you gave him no chance, and i'd say he's....well he's at least gotten the job done Those yanks are rolling, they might as well not even play the first half of the season anymore, because apparently they don't try very hard

My lack of faith was well deserved. Ponson went 4 innings, giving up 10 hits, a walk, and 7 runs (all earned).

Happens, as you said he just needs to be alright as long as the Yanks keep scoring, (and playing John Lester is not an easy way to score)

John Lester is tough to score against, but the Sox 'pen is not.

Texeira got traded today. I guess the Braves gave up and will continue to rebuild.

I saw a snippit on Sportcenter this morning of the Yankees/Red Sox and Manny not even making an effort to beat out a double play ball. Sorry Sox fans, but that guys the biggest pile of steaming feces that I've ever seen. Even if he made the Royals better, I still wouldn't want him.
Did anyone mention the Pine Tar anniversary last week? Still remember where I was when I saw that game.

I can't stand Manny. I have no respect whatsoever for a player who is arguably one of the most talented men in baseball today yet can't be bothered to put in the effort to beat out a double play or stretch a single into a double or catch a fly ball that isn't hit directly to him in the outfield. He's pathetic.

That makes the Anaheim Angels of California quite a scary club now; not only do they have the best rotation and best closer in baseball, they've also got Vlad, Torii, and Texiera.

Saw him (once again) strolling to first base this morning on Sportcenter. Idiot. E

Yank win BIG over the Oriels
Cashman has taken alot of flak the last few years, including from me, but he's made some good moves this year. Getting some good, helpful players for almost nothing. I just heard the Yanks have traded Kyle Farsnworth for Pudge Rodriguez, not too sue about this one but I don't see it being a disaster, and could work out big I think.

I was going to say the Yankees just called up Pudge Rodriguez from their minor league system, and sent down Kyle Farnsworth. What a joke of a trade!!!! I'm not the world's biggest Pudge fan, but Farnsworth is a big time loser. I can definitely tell you that Tiger fans do not want him back.

^ Farnsworth, as you can read all my previous posts about how much I hate that man was actually lights out in Detriot. I think they might anticipate his return.
Some people just can't play New York baseball. Look at Randy Johnson.

No...not the best closer in baseball. As long as Mariano Rivera still breathes....
