Inspired by emdiar's green fingers and interesting herbs, I wonder if any other proggers are into planting the seed and assisting nature in growing the seed?

My slightly odd passion is for carnivorous plants - doubly odd considering I'm a vegetarian.

That's right, an animal that only eats plants cultivating plants that only eat animals...

I'll take some snapshots of my own plants if this thread develops any interest, but for now here are some piccies of similar ones to plants I grow that I found elsewhere;

I recently bought a Venus Flytrap that seems very happy in my kitchen - if I ever get a digicam I'll post a pic. Let's face it, 'Reader's carnivorous plants' is a bit more original than 'Reader's wives'.

i have been gardening since i was a child, my wife has a degree in horticulture, and i have the carnivorous orchid, which you posted a pic of Cert, hanging from the roof of my porch....all this and i (aka:hopelevre) am of course the biggest waste of organic matter god ever created ...imagine

i thought yu knew where i lived Cert?....and i only have him outside in the summer....i have a greenroom in which my plants avert ther winter....im in zone 6 i believe, tho i may be wrong...my wife isnt here to ask but if not 6 then 7 im pretty sure

Those zones mean very little to a Brit like me - and I don't know the general humidity of every region on earth...

Funnily enough, I'm doing some experiments to cross the giant Hogweed with a venus flytrap and see if I can grow a 15 foot trap that can protect itself...
