Aww, I just dropped Zumaya. I had him just in case Todd Jones lost the job, but I lost the room for middle relief when my entire outfield collapsed.

Yea its a double edged sword I mean......yea it's cool Mussina held the rangers to 2, but the Yanks only managed 1?? And on 4 hits I believe, awful......
And that sucks man, personally I never could get into any of the fantasy things, but I never tried baseball. I think I get too blinded by my favorites, like I KNOW my fantasy team would be pretty much all Yankees with maybe Albert Pujols and like Ichiro Suzuki
|
I made sure I had a system (OPS and DIPS ERA ranks, specifically) so I didn't end up drafting the worst of the Yankees. I am fortunate enough to be in a league full of Mets fans, so I get to watch them all overstate the value of various Mets players, most notably the Mets' terrible catchers.
Interesting to see an Ichiro fan who isn't a Mariners fan. Personally, I can't stand the guy. He swings the bat like a woman.
|
I have Ichiro on my fantasy team only for the stolen bases. Other than that, he's not that great.

He used to be a batting average machine, but he's only hitting, what, 290?
I've got basically all of my steals in Juan Pierre (get well soon!) and Orioles 2B Brian Roberts.

My fantasy team just got brutalized by injuries. Matsui, Ordonez, and Juan Pierre (second in the majors in steals) all hit the DL within 48 hours of each other. While Chipper is hurt.

To replace my downed outfielders, I actually ended up adding the entire Cardinals outfield. Ankiel, Schumaker, and Ludwick just happened to be the best three outfielders available.

Hey! A Yankee - Ranger game actually going the way we'd expect, offense!! Yanks finally got some bats going, and a Giambi grand slam.

The Red Sox pitching is freaking scary. Lester, Beckett, and Buchholtz are all young arms, and they have Matsuzaka and a healthy Bartolo Colon as well (kinda makes you wonder why they bother with Wakefield). And they have the second-most runs scored in the AL to back that up.

Tis true, they have a GOOD team And after them are the Rays which have the best record in baseball so far, and just swept the Sox .....Imagine if they win the division? The Wild Card fight will be something else

Well, he's still got a ball and a half, so that makes him, what, three-quarters of a boy?

I just picked up Wakefield for my fantasy team. I really needed help with wins,ko's and era. There really wasn't much to choose from in my league.

Wakefield's a WHIP-killer though.
I'm currently leading Wins by 10, so I'm selling my high-win starters for saves and low-era starters on bad teams.

Furcal's out another 8 weeks for back surgery. He was due to be back about a week from now. I'm not sure how much longer the Dodgers' left infield can survive.

Yanks beat Boston 2-1 Though I almost had a heart attack watching Mariano hit 2 batters and got the bases loaded with no outs, but worked his way out of it....
