Hey, I found a new band called we all inherit the moon! They just released a an EP, and it's free for download on their myspace. I guess you can describe the music as happy ambience!

I just found Souls Vibrating In The Universe
It's like a mix of Godspeed You! Black Emperor, Sigur Rós and Radiohead. http://www.myspace.com/soulsvibratingintheuniverse |

I've seen about 4 post-rock bands perform live and I enjoyed all their
performances. I saw Explosions in the Sky open for the Smashing
Pumpkins, 65 Days of Static open for The Cure, and an Icelandic group
called For a Minor Reflection that was touring with a local
Philadelphia group called Northern Valentine. Those two played together
at a small cafe with maybe only 40 people there including the bands but it was such a perfect enviroment and they played one of the most flawless performances I've ever seen.

Absolutely not. No way. You are allowed your opinion, of course. Listen to them and enjoy them. There are a bunch of other albums that deserve to be album of the year though. |

sorry for being inactive recently. I'm kinda having an anti-post-rock diet now, since I've been drained with the amount of new albums I'm getting...I was listening to FOLLOWED BY GHOSTS, and my head was telling me "man, that's great!", while my heart was completely silent. There I realised that I need a break...so, I'm in Classic Prog Realms for now, but will return soon
Thanks for checking SILENCE KIT out, Ian And btw, MOONCAKE debut has been reviewed by The Silent Ballet - 8 out of 10, if it tells you anything Edited by Prog-jester - June 18 2008 at 05:19 |

I don't think Indukti and Tool are Post Rock/Metal. |

What did you think? I just picked up the remastered version of Young Team (only had mp3 before today). Good stuff. Happy Songs is still my favorite Mogwai album though. |

Mogwai FTW. I've got nearly all their discography, but haven't got around to listening to half of it yet.
Happy Songs is pretty awesome though. |
